Dal 5 al 7 maggio 2023, presso la parrocchia São Francisco Xavier, nel municipio di Belém (PA), Brasile-Nord, si è svolto il 1° Modulo della Scuola Vocazionale Missionaria voluto e promosso dalla Famiglia Saveriana con lo scopo di formare alla passione missionaria e ravvivare nelle comunità e nelle parrocchie l’impegno di Fare del mondo una sola famiglia in Cristo. La Scuola Vocazionale ha avuto come tema: “Cuori ardenti, piedi in cammino” (“Corações ardentes, pés a caminho”), in comunione con l'Anno Vocazionale e con il proposito di dare un nuovo impulso alle vocazioni al servizio delle comunità.

In questo primo modulo hanno partecipato le parrocchie di Santa Rosa de Lima de Abaetetuba, con 4 rappresentanti attivi all'interno sia della parrocchia stessa che nella Comunità di São Sebastião; il Santuario di Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro, municipio di Abaetetuba, con 7 rappresentanti; la Parrocchia di São Francisco Xavier, di Belém, con 10 membri. In questo primo modulo della Scuola Vocazionale erano presenti anche le Missionarie di Maria - Saveriane con 31 rappresentanti. Erano presenti anche altri partecipanti di gruppi e comunità che si ispirano al carisma di San Guido Maria Conforti.

La valutazione fatta dagli stessi partecipanti alla fine del 1° modulo, ha mostrato apprezzamento e gratitudine per il passo intrapreso, riaffermando il desiderio di partecipare anche al secondo modulo, previsto per il prossimo mese di settembre. Ci sentiamo tutti incoraggiati a seguire con gioia le orme di Colui che ci precede in Galilea e che ci spinge a testimoniare con la nostra vita la gioia di essere missionari: "Cuori ardenti, piedi in cammino!" From May 5^th to 7^th, 2023, the 1^st Module of the School of Missionary Vocation devised and promoted by the Xaverian Family with the aim of fostering missionary fervour and rekindling communities and parishes’ commitment to make the world one single family in Christ was held at São Francisco Xavier Parish, in the municipality of Belém (PA), northern Brazil.

In continuity with the Vocational Year, and intending to give new impetus to the vocations for the service of communities, the theme chosen for the School was: “Burning hearts, feet on the way” (“Corações ardents, pés a caminho”).

The first module was attended by the parishes of: Santa Rosa de Lima in Abaetetuba, with 4 representatives active both within the parish itself and in the Community of São Sebastião; the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro, municipality of Abaetetuba, with 7 representatives; and the Parish of São Francisco Xavier in Belém, with 10 members. The Xaverian Missionary Sisters of Mary were also present at this first module of the School with 31 representatives. Other participants from groups and communities inspired by the charism of San Guido Maria Conforti were likewise present.

At the end of the 1^st module, the evaluation made by the participants themselves manifested appreciation and gratitude for the step taken; they expressed their desire to participate also in the second module, scheduled for next September.

We all feel encouraged to follow joyfully in the footsteps of the One who precedes us in Galilee and urges us to witness with our lives the joy of being missionaries: “Burning hearts, feet on the way!” (Marselinus Yerisko sx)
