I pp. Gabriel Basuzwa sx  e Faustino Turco sx hanno dedicato una settimana (dal 15 al 21 novembre 2021) per una verifica dello stato di avanzamento della causa super martyrio dell’abbé Michel Kayoya, Maule-Marchiol-Gubert e dei 40 seminaristi di Buta. Dagli incontri con i vescovi di Bururi e di Gitega, e dei membri del Tribunale della Causa, presenti sul posto, si nota un vivo interesse e un pressante desiderio di concludere l’inchiesta diocesana. La chiusura dell’inchiesta a livello diocesano era, infatti, già prevista e programmata dal compianto Postulatore Generale, p. Guglielmo  Camera sx, il 21 aprile 2020, nella cattedrale di Bururi, sospesa a causa dell’insorgere della pandemia e del suo inatteso decesso. Un rapporto scritto è stato inviato al Superiore Generale sui passi da percorrere in vista della chiusura dell’inchiesta diocesana. È una grazia di Dio ascoltare la gente e soprattutto i confratelli parlare con venerazione dei loro compagni di missione, ora Servi di Dio! (Gabriel Basuzwa sx e Faustino Turco sx)

Fr. Gabriel Basuzwa s.x. and Fr. Faustino Turco s.x. have dedicated one week (from November 15th to 21st, 2021) to assess the present state of the causa super martyrio of Abbé Michel Kayoya, Maule-Marchiol-Gubert and the 40 seminarians of Buta. Keen interest and a burning desire to conclude the Diocesan inquiry have emerged from the meetings with the bishops of Bururi and Gitega, and with the local members of the Tribunal for the Cause. In fact, the late General Postulator, Fr. Guglielmo Camera s.x., had already foreseen and planned the closing of the diocesan inquiry by April 21st 2020, in the cathedral of Bururi, but the event was postponed due to the pandemic outburst and his sudden death. A written report on the remaining steps to be taken towards the closing of the diocesan inquiry has been sent to the General Superior. Listening to the people, and especially to the confreres, as they talk with much veneration about their companions of mission and now Servants of God, is truly a God-given grace.
