Dal 7 - 12 luglio 2025, a Bujumbura, Burundi, si è tenuto l'Incontro Continentale dei Promotori e Formatori in Africa - Formazione di Base. Il tema dell’incontro: “La formazione di Base come cammino di speranza”. Gli argomentiall'ordine di giorno sono stati: la verifica degli Orientamenti dell'Incontro sulla Formazione di Base tenutosi a Bujumbura nel luglio 2022; verifica sul cambio del cammino formativo in Africa; le attività realizzate dal Segretariato Continentale sulla Formazione di Base; la collaborazione continentale nel settore della Formazione di Base; alcuni orientamenti per il futuro. Hanno partecipato il Superiore Generale, p. Fernando García Rodríguez, il Consigliere Generale, p. Fabien Kalehezo T’Chiribuka e i rappresentanti delle 6 circoscrizioni Saveriane dell'Africa. L'incontro si è concluso con la visita a Mumuri (Gitega), da un anno, sede della tappa formativa della Propedeutica della Regione del Burundi.
BUJUMBURA - BURUNDI: CONTINENTAL MEETING OF VOCATION DIRECTORS AND FORMATORS IN AFRICA - INITIAL FORMATION (7-12 July 2025)
The Continental Meeting of Vocation Directors and Formators in Africa - Initial Formation was held in Bujumbura, Burundi, from 7 - 12 July 2025. The theme of the meeting: ‘Basic Formation as a path of hope’. The topics on the agenda were: a review of the Orientations of the Meeting on Basic Formation held in Bujumbura in July 2022; a review of the change of the formative path in Africa; the activities carried out by the Continental Secretariat on Initial Formation; continental collaboration in the area of Initial Formation; some orientations for the future. Participants included the Superior General, Fr. Fernando García Rodríguez, the General Councillor, Fr. Fabien Kalehezo T'Chiribuka and representatives of the 6 Xaverian circumscriptions of Africa. The meeting concluded with a visit to Mumuri (Gitega), for the past year the seat of the formation stage of the Propaedeutics in the Burundi Region.
