“Accogliere Gesù alla luce di Fratelli Tutti di Papa Francesco” è stata una proposta desiderata ed organizzata dai Missionari Saveriani di Salerno in collaborazione con don Gianluca e i fedeli dell’unità pastorale di Spiano, Monticelli e Corticelle, Mercato san Severino. C’erano anche alcuni laici Saveriani, le sorelle Saveriane e alcuni amici di Salerno.

Era un percorso formativo-spirituale, su piattaforma Zoom, di quattro incontri, distribuiti nelle quattro domeniche di Avvento. Si trattava di vivere l’attesa della nascita di Gesù nel proprio cuore lasciandosi illuminare dal pensiero della fraternità universale incoraggiato da papa Francesco, in particolare dallo sguardo di fede e di speranza con cui il papa stesso guarda alle ombre di un mondo chiuso. Una fraternità universale sempre accarezzata e ricercata dal nostro Fondatore Mons. Conforti, in particolare verso i non Cristiani.

Papa Francesco vede il mondo frammentato causato dalla politica effimera, dalla cultura dello scarto, del rifiuto dei migranti e dal bene comune gestito solo a favore dei potenti, con lo sguardo paterno di San Francesco d’Assisi, ma anche con la speranza di partire dalla certezza che “Dio continua a seminare nell’umanità semi di bene” (FT 54). Questo mondo chiuso in se stesso, il papa lo apre con la chiave del “farsi prossimo”, del “prendersi cura dell’altro” alla maniera del Buon Samaritano, di un’esistenza che “è legata a quella degli altri; la vita non è tempo che passa ma tempo di incontro”.  Con il Natale, Dio nel suo Figlio Gesù incrocia la vita e la realtà di ogni uomo.

È significativo riportare qui una delle risonanze di questa proposta: «Riflettendo sulle ferite dell’uomo di oggi e le ferite della terra, del primo capitolo dell’enciclica, Papa Francesco ci sta mostrando in quali luoghi e in quali persone, in quali ferite trova posto e luogo Gesù; quindi dove nasce. Allora sono i luoghi dove dobbiamo andare ad adorarlo. In pratica è lì che Egli viene ed è lì che dobbiamo andare a trovarlo; è il discorso dell’incontro». (Ferdinandus Supandri s.x.)

“To welcome Jesus at the light of Fratelli Tutti by Pope Francis” has been a proposal desired and organized by the Xaverian Missionaries of Salerno in collaboration with Fr. Gianluca (a parish priest) and parishioners members of the Pastoral Unit of Spiano, Monticelli and Corticelle, and San Severino. There were also some Lay Xaverians, the Xaverian Sisters, and other friends from Salerno. It was a formative-spiritual journey on Zoom, with four meetings in the four Sundays of Advent. It was a matter of living the waiting of the birth of Jesus in one’s heart being enlightened by the thought of the universal fraternity, encouraged by Pope Francis. In a special way by the look of faith and hope whereby the Pope himself looks to the shadows of a closed world. A universal fraternity always cherished and sought by our Founder Msgr. Conforti especially toward non-Christians. Pope Francis sees the fragmented world caused by feeble politics from the culture of discard, the refusal of migrants and the common good managed only in favor of the powerful. With the fatherly look of Francis of Assisi, but also with the hope of starting from the certainty that “God keeps sowing in humanity the seeds of goodness” (FT 54). This world closed in itself the Pope opens with the key of “becoming a neighbor,” “taking care of the other” in the way of the Good Samaritan, with a life “tide up to the life of the others; life is not time that goes by but time for encounter.” With Christmas, God in his Son encounters the life and the reality of every human being. It is significant here to report one of the resonances of this proposal: “Reflecting on the wounds of contemporary man and the wounds of the earth, from the first chapter of the encyclical, Pope Francis is showing us in which places and in which persons, in which wounds Jesus finds his place to stay, therefore, where he is born. Then, these are the places where we must go to find him and worship him. It is the talk of the encounter.” (Ferdinandus Supandri s.x.)
