Convocata per i giorni dal 10 al 16 ottobre 2020, a Coatbridge, in Scozia, con il tema: «In continuità con i Capitoli Generali XVI° e XVII°… in EUROPA, quale risposta, come saveriani, alla Missione ad gentes?», La COSUMA Europa 2020 voleva completare il numero delle “Cosume continentali”, secondo le disposizioni del XVII CG, dopo quelle dell’America (gennaio 2019), Africa (aprile 2019) e Asia (novembre 2019). Per i noti motivi della pandemia, dopo aver cercato varie soluzioni, pur di non annullarla, si è deciso di celebrare la Cosuma Europa in due momenti: il primo, on line, nei giorni 12, 13, 14 ottobre 2020 e un secondo momento nei giorni precedenti la Cosuma Intercapitolare (prevista per giugno-luglio 2021), nei giorni 24,25,26 di giugno 2021.

It was convened for the days from October 10^th to October 16^th – 2020,  in Coatbridge, Scotland, with the theme: “In continuity with General Chapters 16^th and 17^th … in EUROPE, what answer, as Xaverians, to the Mission ad Gentes?”.  The number of the COSUME CONTINETALI was to be completed, according to the provisions of the 17^th CG, after those of America ( January 2019), Africa (April 219) and Asia (November 2019).  For the well-known reasons of the pandemia, after searching for various solutions, in order not to cancel it, it was decided to celebrate COSUMA EUROPE in two moments:  the first, on line, on October 12^th – 13^th – 14^th -2020, and a second moment in the days before the COSUMA INTERCAPITORALE (expected for June-July 2021), on 24^th – 25^th – 26^th – of June 2021.
