Le comunità saveriane del Congo si sono radunate alla Casa Regionale di Bukavu dal 5/1 al 11/1 riflettendo sul tema: Tutti uniti per la missione nel Congo, nella trasparenza. È stata un'assemblea pre-capitolare in vista del prossimo XIII Capitolo Regionale che si terrà nella settimana dopo Pasqua. Partendo dal contesto sociale di confusione per quanto riguarda le scuole pubbliche e private e di grande preoccupazione per i continui massacri nel Nord e Sud Kivu, ci siamo posti la domanda del significato della presenza saveriana in Congo. Certamente sarà il Capitolo a prendere decisioni e orientamenti concreti sia per le case di formazione con 77 giovani studenti sia per le molteplici attività pastorali parrocchiali. La trasparenza ci ha accompagnati nelle relazioni presentate da ogni comunità e nelle revisioni dei nostri progetti e vita comune.  

The Xaverian Communities of the Democratic Republic of Congo gathered at the Bukavu Regional House from January 5^th to 11^th – 2020.  They reflected on the theme: “All united for Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in transparency”.   It was a Pre-Chapter assembly in view of the next Regional Chapter to be held in the week after Easter.  Starting from the social context of confusion regarding public and private schools, and of great concern for the continuing massacres in North and South Kivu, we asked ourselves the question of the significance of the Xaverian presence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Certainly, the Regional Chapter will formulate concrete decisions and guidelines for both the Xaverian Formation Houses and for the many pastoral parish activities. Transparency has accompanied us in the reports presented by each community and in the revisions of our projects and community life.
