Sono trascorsi esattamente 15 giorni da quando siamo arrivati ​​a Fnideq (Castillejos). L'intera comunità di Tangeri e una suora Eclesiana ci hanno accompagnato molto cordialmente e ci hanno aiutato nel trasloco e nei primi passi dell’installazione nella nuova casa. Il giorno dopo il nostro arrivo (1 giugno), aiutati da un amico della Fratellanza Alawiya, abbiamo incontrato l'Imam della più grande moschea della città. È stato un incontro piacevole e cordiale. Entrambi ci hanno offerto la loro grande ospitalità e ogni tipo di aiuto. Domenica 6 giugno abbiamo celebrato la festa del Corpus Domini nella Parrocchia più vicina (a Tetouan), guidata da un sacerdote francescano (messicano). Abbiamo una vicina di casa che ci ha aperto le sue porte e desidera che ci sentiamo subito in famiglia… Ieri, 13 giugno, abbiamo avuto la gradita visita del Cardinale Cristóbal, Arcivescovo di Rabat e Amministratore Apostolico della Diocesi di Tangeri. Dopo aver pranzato con noi, ci siamo riuniti insieme e abbiamo condiviso in profondità il senso e le prospettive della nostra nuova presenza a Fnideq. Prima di partire, il Cardinale ha benedetto la nostra casa. E così… incontrandoci, osservando ciò che ci circonda, abbiamo cominciato a tessere rapporti, contatti, visite, incontri…

Insha Allah, il cammino continuerà così, fino al momento in cui alcune iniziative - che hanno iniziato a risuonare con forza nelle voci e nelle presenze del contesto che ci ha accolto – prenderanno corpo. Exactly fifteen days have passed since our arrival in Fnideq (Castillejos). The whole community of Tangier and an Eclesiana religious sister accompanied us very cordially: they helped us move in the new house and settle down. The day after our arrival (June 1^st), with the help of a friend from the Alawiya Brotherhood, we met the Imam of the largest mosque in the city. It was a pleasant and friendly meeting. Both of them offered us their great hospitality and all kinds of assistance. On Sunday, June 6^th, we celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Body of Christ, in the nearest parish (in Tetouan) that is led by a Franciscan Mexican priest. A lady, who is one of our neightbours, opened her door and expressed her desire that we would feel very much at home, like one family. Yesterday, June 13^th, we received the pleasant visit of Cardinal Cristóbal, Archbishop of Rabat and Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Tangier. We had lunch together, then shared in depth the understanding, perspectives and hopes for our new presence in Fnideq. Before leaving, the Cardinal blessed our house. And so, through our encounters, meetings, observation of all that surrounds us, we have begun to weave relationships, organize contacts, visits, meetings…  

Insha Allah, our journey will continue in this way, till the moment when some initiatives will take shape – initiatives that have begun to echo with intensity in the voices and people present in the context that has welcome us.
