Il nostro confratello cinese, il diacono Simone, ha da poco completato le biografie in cinese dei primi tre saveriani non italiani: P. Agostino Yang (1920-1994), P. Simone Liu (1921-1971) e P. Luigi Wang (1917-2001). Oltre a tradurre i profili biografici in italiano già pubblicati in passato, Simone ha aggiunto nuove informazioni da lui raccolte consultando varie fonti tra cui gli archivi della congregazione. Si tratta di un lavoro che arricchisce il materiale per approfondire la conoscenza della vocazione saveriana messo a disposizione della famiglia carismatica in Cina. 

Il primissimo campo di impegno missionario dei saveriani fu anche l’ambiente in cui si realizzò una prima esperienza di condivisione del carisma al di fuori della cultura italiana. Attraverso le prime generazione di saveriani, il carisma di Conforti diede origine in Cina ad altre famiglie religiose – le Suore Teresine e le Suore Giuseppine. Ma soprattutto le vite di P. Yang, P. Liu e P. Wang sono l’esempio di come la vocazione saveriana per se si sia realizzata pienamente nel contesto cinese. 

Oggi, rileggere l’esperienza di vita di questi tre saveriani permette alla famiglia carismatica cinese di scoprire quei legami che storicamente hanno unito il carisma saveriano con il mondo cinese. I padri Yang, Liu e Wang hanno incarnato questo legame; essi sono stati pienamente cinesi per nascita e per aver condiviso le vicissitudini storiche del loro popolo, ma sono stati anche pienamente saveriani per aver speso se stessi nel servizio del Vangelo ad vitam, ad gentes and ad extra all’interno della famiglia saveriana con forte senso di appartenenza e amore verso di essa. Our Chinese confrere, Deac. Simone, has recently completed the biographies in Chinese of the first three non-Italian Xaverians: Fr. Agostino Yang (1920-1994), Fr. Simone Liu (1921-1971), and Fr. Luigi Wang (1917-2001). In addition to translating the biographical sketches originally published in Italian, Simon has added new information he collected by consulting various sources, including the congregation’s archives. This work enriches the resources available to the charismatic family in China, helping to deepen the understanding of the Xaverian vocation.

The very first field of missionary work for the Xaverians was also the setting in which they first shared their charism outside of Italian culture. Through the first generations of Xaverians missionaries, Conforti's charism led to the creation in China of other religious families – the Suore Teresine and the Josephine Sisters. But above all, the lives of P. Yang, P. Liu, and P. Wang exemplify how the Xaverian vocation itself has been fully realized within the Chinese context.

Today, revisiting the life experiences of these three Xaverian missionaries allows the Chinese charismatic family to discover the bonds that have historically united the Xaverian charism with the Chinese world. Fathers Yang, Liu, and Wang embodied this bond; they were fully Chinese by birth and by having shared in the historical vicissitudes of their people, but they were also fully Xaverian in that they devoted themselves to the service of the Gospel ad vitam, ad gentes, and ad extra within the Xaverian family, with a strong sense of belonging and love for such family.
