Tenendo conto anche delle Direttive del Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione del Messico, l'ultimo venerdì di ogni mese dell'anno scolastico si sospendono le lezioni. Durante questo tempo, gli insegnanti sono chiamati a valutare il percorso educativo, riesaminando i propri strumenti didattici e pedagogici. Noi Saveriani nell’Istituto Culturale Occidentale, Collegio Saveriano di Mazatlán, Messico, dedichiamo la prima ora dell’ultimo venerdì di ogni mese a quella che chiamiamo "Formazione Saveriana".
Per concludere il mese missionario e preparare la celebrazione della festa di San Guido M. Conforti, abbiamo presentato la Lettera Testamento a tutto il personale (addetti alle pulizie, segretarie, autisti dei nostri bus scolastici, insegnanti: Asilo, Medie e Liceo). Al termine di questo incontro, un gruppo di insegnanti ha sollevato la seguente domanda: "Monsignor Conforti ha fondato e organizzato la Scuola Normale Superiore di Catechesi. Quale approccio didattico e pedagogico ha avuto e che relazione ha avuto con il mondo della scuola e gli insegnanti?..." (Rafael Piras sx)

“INSTITUTO CULTURAL DE OCCIDENTE” (ICO), MAZATLÁN, SINALOA – MEXICO: “Developer of knowledgeable and honest men” – Xaverian Education
In accordance with the new guidelines issued by the Mexican Ministry of Public Education, classes are suspended on the last Friday of every month of the school year. During this period, teachers are required to evaluate their educational process by reviewing their teaching methods. We, the Xaverians of the Western Cultural Institute, Xaverian College in Mazatlán, Mexico, dedicate the first hour of the last Friday of each month to what we call Xaverian Formation.
To conclude the missionary month and prepare for the celebration of the feast of St. Guido M. Conforti, we presented his Testament Letter to all the staff of our Kindergarten, Middle School and High School (including janitors, secretaries, school-bus drivers, and teachers). At the end of this meeting, a group of teacher raised the following question: “Monsignor Conforti founded and organised the Scuola Normale Superiore di Catechesi (Higher Normal School of Catechesis). What was his teaching and pedagogical approach, and what relationship did he have with the world of education and teachers?” (Rafael Piras s.x.)
