Il nostro confratello p. Cassien Nshimirimana condivide una stimolante riflessione sulle “Chiese del Risveglio” (Le phénomène des églises de réveil) non solo come fenomeno del Congo ma anche di altri paesi del continente africano. Riferendosi concretamente al Congo, p. Cassien scrive: “è difficile trovare una strada a Kinshasa senza queste chiese. È anche raro prendere i mezzi pubblici senza incontrare pastori itineranti o loro seguaci che predicano ai passeggeri la dottrina nota come «semence» (seme). Se un fedele “semina” di più, cioè se offre alla chiesa molto denaro, avrà grazie in abbondanza: guarigioni, prosperità, virilità, fecondità e soprattutto paradiso.

KINSHASA, D.R.C. – “THE PHENOMENON OF REVIVAL CHURCHES”: THE REFLECTION OF SOME CONFRERES
Our confrere, Fr. Cassien Nshimirimana, shares with us an thought-provoking reflection on the “Revival Churches” (Le phénomène des églises de réveil) – a phenomenon that is not limited only to Congo but present also in other countries of the African continent. With regard to the specific case of Congo, Fr. Cassien writes: “One hardly finds a street of Kinshasa without these churches. It is likewise rare to take a means of public transportation without coming across wandering pastors or their followers who preach to the passengers the doctrine known as semence (seed). The more a faithful “sows” (that is, the more money he offers to the church), the more the graces he will receive abundantly: healing, prosperity, virility, fertility and, above all, paradise.”
