Nella ricorrenza della Festa del nostro Fondatore, gli Amici del Cinquenovembre, in sinergia con p. Ermanno Ferro sx presso il Centro Studi Confortiani Saveriani di Parma, hanno organizzato - dopo un anno di sospensione a causa del Virus Covid 19 - l'annuale Pomeriggio Culturale Confortiano, previsto quest'anno per mercoledì 10 novembre 2021.

Due i temi in cantiere per tale data: 1)  la presentazione del quaderno Parma negli anni n. 25 dedicato agli Atti dell'anno 1920; 2) l'analisi del 1921 attorno a mons. Conforti, costituita da tre interventi: A) Don Umberto Cocconi approfondisce la realtà politica e culturale di Parma in quell'anno. B) Valentino Sani descrive mons. Conforti nel dono ai Saveriani delle Costituzioni dell'Istituto approvate dalla Santa Sede insieme alla Lettera Testamento e dinanzi alla morte del cardinale Ferrari arcivescovo di Milano (2 febbraio) nonché della morte di Madre Eugenia Picco Superiora Generale delle Piccole Figlie (7 settembre), ed eventi religiosi connessi. C) Luigi Lanzi legge brani dell'Epistolario redatto dal p. Giovanni Gazza lungo il suo viaggio verso la Cina, iniziato a Parma il 15 aprile, assieme alle prime quattro Suore Canossiane di Pavia destinate alla realtà di Zhengzhou. (Ermanno Ferro sx)

For the upcoming Founder’s Day, the association Amici del Cinquenovembre (November 5^th Friends), in close coordination with Fr. Ermanno Ferro s.x., has organised the yearly “Confortian Cultural Afternoon” that will be held at the Centro Studi Confortiani Saveriani in Parma. After a one-year interruption due to the Covid-19 virus, this year the event has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 10^th 2021.

On that occasion two themes will be in the agenda: 1) the presentation of the serial publication Parma negli anni n. 25, which is dedicated to the Acts of the year 1920; and 2) an analysis of the year 1921 in relation to Mons. Conforti, which includes three contributions: A) Fr. Umberto Cocconi will discuss in depth the political and cultural situation of Parma in that year. B) Valentino Sani will describe Mons. Conforti’s gift to the Xaverians of both the Institute’s Constitutions approved by the Holy See and the Testament letter, and his attitudes vis-à-vis the death (February 2^nd) of the Archbishop of Milan, Cardinal Ferrari, and that (September 7^th) of Mother Eugenia Picco, general superior of the Little Sisters, as well as related religious events. C) Luigi Lanzi will read passages from the Collection of Letters edited by Fr. Giovanni Gazza on his way to China – having departed from Parma on April 15^th – to accompany the first four Canossian Sisters from Pavia who had been sent to the Zhengzhou. (Ermanno Ferro s.x.)
