Noi, missionari saveriani della Delegazione del Mozambico, ci siamo riuniti in Assemblea Generale dal 20 al 24 maggio scorso per pregare, riflettere, rivedere e programmare le nostre attività future. Tutti i confratelli della Delegazione erano presenti malgrado la situazione imposta dal Covid 19. Malgrado la pandemia, ci siamo confinati nella parrocchia di Sena facendo le nostre sedute con rispetto rigoroso della distanza sociale e dell’igiene.

Ringraziamo il Signore per questa opportunità che ci ha offerto di esser insieme per celebrare la fraternità in questo momento difficile. Abbiamo concluso l’Assemblea nella solennità dell’Ascensione, chiedendo al Signore la grazia di rimboccarsi le maniche per scendere dalla montagna con batterie cariche e con nuove forze per rispondere con gioia al suo invito: «Andate dunque e ammaestrate tutte le nazioni, battezzandole nel nome del Padre e del Figlio e dello Spirito santo, insegnando loro ad osservare tutto ciò che vi ho comandato. Ecco, io sono con voi tutti i giorni, fino alla fine del mondo». (Mt28, 19-20).

We, Xaverian Missionaries of the Mozambique Delegation, were gathered in General Assembly from 20 to 24 may of this year in order to pray, reflect, review and plan our future activities of this year. All the confreres were present despite the situation caused by Covid 19. Nevertheless the pandemic situation, we were confined in the parish of Sena respecting strictly the social distancing and hygienic norms.      

We thank God for this opportunity that He has given us to celebrate the fraternity in this difficult moment. The Assembly ended up on the Solemnity of Ascension. We asked the Lord to give us the grace to roll up our sleeves in order to come down from the mountain with new impetus and strength so that we may joyfully respond to His invitation: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  (Mt 28:19-20).
