Una quindicina di rappresentanti di "Amici dei Saveriani", gruppi, associazioni, parrocchiani che sono nati o hanno ricevuto un'influenza particolare da Saveriani qui a Parma e che respirano ancora con riconoscenza e gioia l'aria del carisma nato da San Guido Maria Conforti, si sono incontrati domenica 30 novembre 2025 in Casa Madre e si sono riconosciuti come "Famiglia carismatica". Diversi altri gruppi e persone non hanno potuto essere presenti. Si tratta di una galassia molto diversificata e ricca di esperienze. Ognuno dei presenti ha raccontato a volte con grande emozione le circostanze dell'incontro con i saveriani e il loro carisma, le persone che hanno lasciato dei segni profondi nella loro vita e come ancora oggi si sentono "in casa" qui in Casa Madre. Tutti sono stati felici della piccola iniziativa. Ci siamo detti che non si tratterà di creare nuove strutture, ma semplicemente di far crescere questa consapevolezza di essere come i frutti dell'unica radice, quella di San Conforti. Da questa nuova consapevolezza potranno forse nascere altri fiori e altri frutti. Le nostre case in Italia potrebbero suscitare la stessa bella esperienza.

Il 3 dicembre, festa di San Francesco Saverio, è stato celebrato con semplicità ma intensità in Casa Madre. Abbiamo vissuto come comunità un tempo di riflessione proposto da p. Nicola Colasuonno, seguito da un tempo di meditazione personale. Alle 11.00 abbiamo celebrato l'Eucaristia, insieme con il vescovo Enrico Solmi, il suo Vicario Generale, alcuni preti e religiosi, delle religiose e naturalmente un bel gruppo di Missionarie di Maria - Saveriane e altri amici. È  seguito il pranzo festivo. Come nella tradizione, il gruppo degli "Amici del Cinquenovembre" era rappresentato. Questo gruppo di studiosi coordinati da p. Ermanno Ferro da molti anni produce un volume annuale che descrive la vita politica, sociale, culturale e religiosa di Parma cento anni fa, con l'implicazione del Vescovo Conforti: "Parma negli anni".

Dal 5 al 7 dicembre si è tenuta in Casa Madre e Centro Marini la "Convivenza" invernale del Laicato Saveriano dell'Italia. Numerosi gli iscritti, famiglie con bambini. La casa  si è riempita di vita. (Armando Coletto sx)

On Sunday, November 30, 2025, “Amici dei Saveriani” (Friends of the Xaverians) met at the Mother House and manifested their sense of belonging to the “charismatic family.” They were about fifteen representatives of groups, associations, and parishioners who were born or were particularly influenced by Xaverians here in Parma and who still breathe with gratitude and joy the air of the charism of St. Guido Maria Conforti. There are many other groups and people who could not attend. In fact, there is a myriad of very different people with rich experiences. Each of those present on Sunday told, sometime with great emotion, the circumstances of their encounters with the Xaverians and the Xaverian Charism. They spoke of the persons that left deep marks in their lives and of how they still feel “at home” in the Mother House. They have all been happy about this initiative. We affirmed that there is no need to create new structures, but that we simply want to foster this awareness of being like fruits of the same tree which has its roots in St Conforti. Perhaps, from this awareness other flowers and fruits may derive. Our houses in Italy could promote this same beautiful experience.

In the Mother House, December 3^rd, feast of St Francis Xavier, was spent in simplicity but with intensity. As community, we had a meditation led by Fr. Nicola Colasuonno which was followed by time of personal reflection. At 11:00 a.m., we celebrated the Eucharist with Bishop Enrico Solmi, his Vicar General, some priests and religious men and women, naturally a good number of Xaverian Sisters Missionaries of Mary, as well as other friends. Afterwards, there was a lunch together. As of tradition, there were representatives of the group “Amici del Cinquenovembre” (Friends of November the fifth). For many years, this group of scholars coordinated by Fr. Ermanno Ferro has been producing a yearly book, Parma negli anni, describing the political, social, cultural and religious life of Parma one hundred years ago at the time of Bishop Conforti.

From December 5^th to 7^th, the winter gathering (convivenza) of the Xaverian Laity in Italy  was  held at the Mother House and at the Marini Centre. Many have signed up, including families with kids. The house became  full of life. (Armando Coletto sx)
