Durante l’incontro  dei delegati delle Circoscrizioni dell’Asia, a Bukavu, Repubblica Democratica del Congo, era stato deciso di iniziare a visitare altri paesi dove ancora non siamo presenti per vedere la possibilità di una nuova apertura. I pp. Alex Brai sx (Delegazione della Tailandia) e Patrick Santiañez Salazar sx (Delegazione delle Filippine)  si sono recati per una prima visita in Vietnam. Arrivati a Saigon, guidati da alcuni laici consacrati del posto, i due confratelli hanno potuto visitare anche alcune diocesi del Sud. In 5 giorni hanno avuto modo di incontrare una decina di Congregazioni religiose, il responsabile dei religiosi in Vietnam, tanti laici cattolici e varie realtà impegnate sul sociale. La prospettiva è di effettuare un'altra visita alla regione nord della nazione per cercare di avere una visione più chiara e completa della realtà. (Alex Brai sx)

During the meeting of the delegates of the Asian Circumscriptions, in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo, it was decided to start visiting other countries, where we are not present yet, to explore the possibility of a new opening. Frs. Alex Brai s.x. (Delegation of Thailand) and Patrick Santiañez Salazar s.x. (Delegation of the Philippines) went for a first visit to Vietnam. Upon arriving in Saigon, they were welcomed and accompanied by some local consecrated lay people from Saigon. The two confreres were able to visit some dioceses in the South. In 5 days, they had the opportunity to meet around 10 religious congregations, the president of the religious congregations in Vietnam, many Catholics lay people and various organizations involved in social activities. The prospect is to make another visit also to the northern region of the country and try to gain a clearer and more complete vision of the reality. (Alex Brai s.x.)
