Ci siamo trovati nella piccola Comunità dell’Isola (detta la “Bella”) e nel rispondere abbiamo costatato, non senza una certa consolazione, di essere abbastanza in sintonia con l'impegno a camminare insieme, sia all'interno tra noi, che nei nostri servizi, in particolare la Parrocchia che serviamo, e in relazione a realtà più vaste, la Diocesi, i rapporti con le altre Chiese. 

Stiamo spesso insieme, gli incontri comunitari sono diffusi in molti momenti, si può dire che c'è tra noi comunione, e questo porta serenità, voglia di scherzare, speranza. L’interazione comunitaria è positiva e frequente, a tal punto che gli incontri comunitari, al mercoledì sera, non sono l’unico luogo in cui ci si confronta, si danno resoconti, si prendono decisioni. Ogni momento insieme porta virtualmente con sé anche tutte queste valenze ‘ufficiali’.

Anche con i Confratelli delle altre Comunità viviamo la stessa realtà, affrontando insieme gli inevitabili momenti di incertezza, di nebbia.

I rapporti con le altre Circoscrizioni in Asia sono buoni. C’è stata una effettiva collaborazione per il Laicato Saveriano, ci sono dei contatti abbastanza continui, anche a motivo dello Centro Studi Asiatico. Nel 2019 abbiamo ospitato un incontro delle Circoscrizioni Asiatiche sul dialogo interreligioso.

Quanto viviamo insieme ci dà coraggio anche di guardare al futuro, sicuri che il Signore ci aprirà vie promettenti per la nostra missione…da percorrere insieme. (I Confratelli della Delegazione Cinese)

We met as Community of the Island (the so-called “Beautiful” island) and, in trying to reflect on Synodality, we discovered, with some degree of consolation, that we are already in tune with the call to walk together, both among ourselves and in our ministry, especially in the Parish we serve and in relation with larger realities, such as the Diocese and other Churches.

We are often together. Community meetings occupy various moments. We can say that there is communion among us, and such communion generates serenity, sense of humour, and hope. Community interaction is positive and frequent, so much so that the community meetings held on Wednesday evenings are not the only occasion when we exchange ideas, give reports, and make decisions, for virtually every moment together brings with it all these ‘official’ functions.

We live this same reality with Confreres of the other Communities too; together with them, we face the inevitable moments of uncertainty and darkness.

Our relationships with other Circumscriptions in Asia are good. So far there has been an effective collaboration in favour of the Xaverian Laity; and we have rather frequent contacts, partly resulting from the Asian Studies Centre. In 2019, we hosted a meeting of the Asian Circumscriptions on interreligious dialogue.

All that we experience together encourages us to look at the future with the certainty that the Lord will open new promising ways of mission for us to walk together. (The Confreres of the Chinese Delegation)
