- Nella sezione Caro Capitolo, continuano le collaborazioni dei confratelli. P. Cassien Nshimirimana, sx, giovane confratello burundese attualmente a Kinshasa per studi di licenza in filosofia, presenta al CG alcune domande importanti: «… Dopo più di un secolo al servizio della vocazione missionaria della Chiesa, ci viene richiesto di amare la nostra vocazione. Abbiamo dimenticato la nostra “ragion d’essere” saveriani? O stiamo trascurando o mettendo da parte la nostra identità carismatica? I Saveriani, preferiscono forse “vocazioni parallele” più del primo annuncio? Stiamo investendo in un apostolato di conservazione di quello che abbiamo sempre fatto e dimenticando le pecore che si trovano al di fuori della comunità cristiana?» Leggi qui.

- A cura del Comitato preparatorio, pubblichiamo l’ultima delle schede tematiche che dovrebbe aiutare a riflettere direttamente, con coraggio, sul futuro della nostra Famiglia missionaria. Il tema della Scheda 06 è: Verso dove andiamo. (Scarica e leggi qui) Segue la stessa struttura e la stessa metodologia di lavoro delle altre schede, con alcune domande finali per la riflessione personale e la condivisione comunitaria. Chiediamo di inviare i risultati della nostra riflessione entro il 22 marzo 2023.
- Nella sezione Risposte, pubblichiamo il primo gruppo di condivisioni in risposta al questionario proposto dalla Scheda 5: Dove siamo. Economia, strutture, governo. Scarica e leggi. Appaiono oggi, anche gli ultimi contributi sulla Scheda 04. (vedi qui).

Towards the XVIII General Chapter – (18 February 2023)
- In the Dear Chapter section, the collaborations of the confreres continue. Fr Cassien Nshimirimana, sx, a young Burundian currently in Kinshasa to study for a Licentiate in Philosophy, presents some important questions to the GC: «… After more than a century at the service of the missionary vocation of the Church, we are asked to love our vocation. Have we forgotten our Xaverian 'raison d'être'? Or are we neglecting or setting aside our charismatic identity? Do Xaverians, perhaps, prefer "parallel vocations" more than the first announcement? Are we investing in a ‘conservative’ apostolate of what we have always done and forgetting the sheep outside the Christian community? » Read more here.

- By the Preparatory Committee, we publish the last of the thematic sheets that should help us to reflect directly, with courage, on the future of our Missionary Family. The theme of Sheet 06 is: Where we are heading to. (Download and read all). It follows the same structure and working methodology as the other worksheets, with some final questions for personal reflection and community sharing. We ask you to submit the results of your reflection by 22 March 2023.
