Young Xaverian Missionaries - Ongoing Formation (ASIA)

The 1st Continental Meeting of Young Xaverian Priests and Brothers in Asia began on August 13th, 2018. There are 18 participants coming from five Circumscriptions of Asia (Indonesia, The Philippines, Thailand, Japan, and Taiwan-China). We began with the morning prayer and the Holy Hour. Then Miss Paz Baquiran from the Emmaus Center of Psycho-Spiritual Formation introduced the program and helped us to express our hopes and expectations through a couple of guiding questions. This encouraged us to share our own experiences and get to know each other.
In his opening remarks, Fr. Fabien greeted us on behalf of the General Direction. He reminded us that this gathering is a moment of renewal and conversion that will benefit us, the Congregation and the people that we serve.
During the afternoon session, Fr. Ramon Masculino, the Executive Secretary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Commission for the clergy, shared his experience as a priest and then developed the topic about the Present Challenges in Priestly Ministry.
We concluded the first day with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. Emanuele Borelli, the Delegate Superior of the Philippines, followed by the supper and fellowship together with the Postulants and the Novices.
