Carissimi Confratelli, Buon Natale.
La celebrazione Liturgica del Natale del Signore è speciale tempo di Grazia e sorgente di Speranza. Il missionario vive questa celebrazione con una intensità tutta particolare, che si trasforma in nuova energia per l'annuncio del Vangelo.
Il Signore viene sempre, e la celebrazione solenne della Sua venuta nella carne riapre gli occhi di ciascuno di noi e lo vediamo in coloro che ancora non lo conoscono, in coloro che sono oppressi da guerre e da disperazioni di ogni genere, in coloro che fuggono dai loro Paesi, nei nostri confratelli di comunità, negli avvenimenti che toccano la no-stra famiglia Missionaria. Lo vediamo nella morte dei nostri confratelli e nelle nuove vocazioni che entrano nelle nostre comunità.
Il Natale 2015, Giubileo straordinario della Mise-ricordia, apra la porta del nostra cuore, delle nostre comunità, della nostra Famiglia a tutto ciò che Lui stesso, venendo, ci porterà in dono, affidandocelo perché noi lo moltiplichiamo.
Estendo questi Auguri anche ai Laici Saveriani.

A partire dal 1 dicembre 2016, il nuovo Rettore della Casa Madre è il P. Gabriele Cimarelli, in sostituzione di P. Renzo Larcher.
L'incaricato dell'ospitalità e dell'accoglienza è il nuovo Vicerettore, P. Gianluigi Signori, in sostituzione di P. Giuseppe Pettenuzzo.
MOZAMBICO
Charre, ripresa della vita missionaria dopo le vacanze in famiglia… «questo fine settimana come ogni fine settimana mi recherò in alcune delle nostre tante comunità, parleremo dei loro problemi e punti di forza, celebreremo l’Eucaristia e termineremo il tutto con il pranzo a menù fisso a base di polenta di miglio e gallina mangiati rigorosamente con le mani» (P. Facchetti).
ROMA
Angelicum (Pontificia Università S. Tommaso D’Aquino), 14 dicembre: P. Filippo Rota Martir ha conseguito il dottorato in Sacra Teologia, difendendo pubblicamente la tesi B. Sesboüé e J. Sobrino: due soteriologie a confronto.
TAILANDIA

DEFUNTI
Il 12 dicembre all’ospedale National Kidney and Transplant Institute di Quezon City, verso le 12,05, è morto P. Everaldo dos Santos per una grave infezione che ha compromesso il suo sistema immunitario. Il Funerale è stato celebrato nella parrocchia S. Francesco Saverio di Maligaya. È stato sepolto nell’Holy Cross Cemetery (Novaliches).

The liturgical celebration of the Lord’s birth is a special time of grace and a source of hope. The missionary experiences this celebration with a very special intensity, which is transformed into new energy for the proclamation of the Gospel.
The Lord always comes to us, and the solemn celebration of his incarnation reopens the eyes of each one of us, leading us to see him in those who do not yet know him, those who are oppressed by war and every kind of desperation, those who are forced to flee from their homeland, in the confreres of our community and in the events that affect our Missionary family. We see him in the death of our confreres and in the new vocations that join our communities.
May Christmas 2015, the extraordinary Jubilee of Divine Mercy, open the door of our hearts, our communities and our Family to all the gifts that the Lord will bring to us, and entrust to us, so that we may multiply them.
I extend these greetings to all the Xaverian Lay Missionaries.

On 1 December 2015, Fr. Gabriele Cimarelli succeeded Fr. Renzo Larcher as Rector of the Mother House.

Charre: on his return to missionary life after a vacation with his family, Fr. Facchetti writes: … «this weekend I will go, as usual, to visit some of our many communities, to speak of the their problems and strong points, celebrate the Eucharist and have lunch together on a fixed menu of corn mush and chicken».

IN MEMORIAM
Quezon City, Philippines, 12 Dec: Fr. Everaldo dos Santos died at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute after a serious infection irreparably damaged his immune system. His funeral was celebrated in the parish of St. Francis Xavier, Maligaya, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Novaliches.
