Dopo la ‘connessione’ per lavorare tutti in un sistema di rete comune, il Congresso ha ascoltato P. Generale e il P. Vicario.
Mario Mula ha presentato la storia dell’idea e dell’organizzazione del Congresso stesso. P. Luigi Menegazzo, le finalità dell’incontro, cioè: comprendere più a fondo l’utilità dei Mezzi di Comunicazione Sociale, rendersi conto delle grandi opportunità che offrono, imparare come usarli, con lo scopo di vivere pienamente il nostro carisma oggi. Affinché questo Congresso Internazionale Saveriano porti il maggior frutto possibile, è importante ravvivare la passione per il nostro Carisma Saveriano, l’Amore intenso per la nostra Famiglia e la trascendenza dell’Audace Progetto: “mettiamoci – ha concluso - in sintonia gli uni con gli altri, o meglio, mettiamoci in rete”.

La Prof.sa Chiara Giaccardi della Cattolica di Milano che parla della Filosofia dei Social Media: la comu-nicazione non è la trasmissione di sole parole; la realtà è una e tutto è in relazione con tutto.

A Milano ospiti dell’Associazione VITA: un gruppo che da 21 anni si è adattato alle necessità del suo pubblico usando una rivista mensile, con 20 mila copie, e una digitale con 37.000 abbonamenti.

L’intervento della Prof.sa Nicoletta Vittadini, della Cattolica di Milano, specialista in sociologia ed antropologia dei mezzi digitali. Ha presentato storia e sviluppo dei Mezzi di Comunicazione Sociali e la loro struttura linguistica: evidenziando il contributo che offrono e l’uso che ne fanno soprattutto i giovani nella vita di ogni giorno.
Al pomeriggio è intervenuto Giorgio Beretta, ora sociologo, investigatore e attivista nel campo del commercio delle armi.

On the first day, the Conference was presented by the Superior General and the Vicar General.
Fr. Mario Mula presented the history and organization of the Conference, whilst Fr. Luigi Menegazzo outlined its goals, namely: to understand better the usefulness of the Social Media communication tools; to become aware of the great opportunities they offer; to learn how to use them in view of living our charism fully in today’s world. In order to ensure that this International Xaverian Conference is a success, it is important that we rekindle our enthusiasm for our Xaverian Charism, an intense Love for our Family and the transcendence of the Audacious Project. In conclusion, Fr. Menegazzo said, “let us therefore get in tune with each other; or, better still, let us build a network of relationships”.

Visit to the Associazione VITA in Milan: for 21 years now, this group has adapted itself to the needs of its audience with a monthly magazine (20, 000 copies) and a digital magazine (37,000 subscribers).

Prof. Nicoletta Vittadini, of the Università Cattolica di Milano, is a specialist in the sociology and anthropology of the Digital Media. She spoke on the history, development and structure of Social Media language: she highlighted their contribution and how they are used, especially by young people in their daily life.
The afternoon was dedicated to an intervention by Giorgio Beretta, sociologist, researcher and campaigner on topics related to arms trafficking.
