Il Calendario Saveriano 2007 è già disponibile in formato cartaceo. Il tema scelto per quest’anno è ispirato alla prima Enciclica di papa Leone XIV sulla salvaguardia della dignità umana nell’era  dell’Intelligenza Artificiale. “Man a mano che l’umanità si allontana dal Creatore, corre il rischio di perdere progressivamente qualcosa della propria identità profonda e di ridursi a una realtà sempre più “tecnica”, fino ad assumere simbolicamente i tratti della macchina… bisogna custodire al centro la persona umana, affinché il progresso tecnico rimanga sempre al servizio dell’uomo e non finisca per sostituirlo o definirlo” (p. Gian Paolo Succu, nella breve spiegazione della copertina da lui disegnata). Ringraziamo tutti i confratelli che hanno contribuito all’elaborazione del Calendario Saveriano 2027. Invitiamo i partecipanti agli appuntamenti degli ormai prossimi incontri  (Formatori, COSUMA continentali) di non dimenticare i pacchi preparati per le loro Circoscrizioni.

Il Superiore Generale nella sua Introduzione al Calendario Saveriano 2027 scrive: “…È questo il mio augurio per ciascuno di noi: vivere ogni giorno in profonda familiarità con la presenza del Signore risorto, lasciandoci guidare dalla forza del suo Spirito. Che in ogni singolo giorno di questo nuovo anno possiamo compiere un passo in più verso quel desiderio che ci anima: essere, nella nostra vita terrena un’immagine viva del Dio che Gesù Cristo ci ha rivelato...”.  

The 2027 Xaverian Calendar is now available in print. This year’s theme is inspired by Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical on the safeguarding of human dignity in the age of Artificial Intelligence. “As humanity moves further away from the Creator, it runs the risk of gradually losing something of its deepest identity and of being reduced to an increasingly ‘technical’ reality, to the point of symbolically taking on the characteristics of a machine… we must keep the human person at the centre, so that technical progress always remains at the service of humankind and does not end up replacing or defining it” (Fr Gian Paolo Succu, in his brief explanation of the cover he designed). 

We thank all the confreres who contributed to the preparation of the 2027 Xaverian Calendar. We invite those attending the forthcoming meetings (Formators, continental COSUMA gatherings) not to forget the parcels prepared for their Circumscriptions.

The Superior General, in his Introduction to the 2027 Xaverian Calendar, writes: “… This is my wish for each and every one of us: to live each day in deep communion with the presence of the Risen Lord, allowing ourselves to be guided by the power of his Spirit. May we, on every single day of this new year, take one more step towards that desire which animates us: to be, in our earthly life, a living image of the God whom Jesus Christ has revealed to us...”.
