“Settantacinque anni di presenza discreta e luminosa” è il titolo dell’articolo uscito nel giornale diocesano di Ancona “Presenza” in occasione dell’anniversario dell’apertura della casa di Posatora, nel 1947. Una presenza discreta che è entrata nel cuore di molte persone qui in diocesi. Molti di quelli che hanno frequentato i gruppi giovanili saveriani negli anni e oggi sono adulti ricordano con affetto i volti dei tanti confratelli che sono passati nella comunità di Ancona e chiedono notizie e fanno memoria di importanti esperienze missionarie vissute con loro. Oggi una coppia di Posatora ha chiamato per prenotarsi alla cena che condivideremo il 18 settembre, dopo la messa celebrata dall’arcivescovo, dicendo che loro “non escono molto spesso di casa ma vogliono essere presenti a questa festa con senso di  gratitudine e per ricambiare per tutto quello che i Saveriani hanno fatto per il quartiere dopo la frana del 1982 e l’accoglienza che hanno prodigato alla comunità parrocchiale”.

Che la luce del Vangelo sia passata anche attraverso lo stile di famiglia che caratterizza questa nostra congregazione missionaria?

Ringraziamo il Signore per il dono del carisma di San Guido Maria Conforti e chiediamo a Lui di continuare a trasmettere questa luce con coraggio, creatività e passione missionaria perché sia da tutti conosciuto e amato nostro Signore Gesù Cristo. (Diego Pirani s.x.)

“Seventy-five Years of Discreet and Luminous Presence” is the title of an article published in Presenza, the newspaper of the Diocese of Ancona, for the anniversary of the opening of the former Xaverian house in Posatora, in 1947. A discreet presence which has nevertheless entered the heart of many people in the diocese. Many of those that through the years took part in Xaverian youth groups and today are adult men and women remember with affection the faces of numerous confreres who passed through the community of Ancona and ask for news and recall having made important missionary experiences with those confreres. Today, a married couple from Posatora called to sign up for the dinner we will share on September 18^th, after a Mass celebrated by our Archbishop. They said “they do not go out often, but they are going to be present at the party with a sense of gratitude and to reciprocate for all that the Xaverians did for the neighbourhood after the 1982 landslide and for the Xaverians’ hospitality towards their parish community”. Perhaps, did the light of the Gospel pass through the family style that characterises our missionary congregation?

Let us thank the Lord for the gift of St Guido Maria Conforti’s charism. Let us ask Him to continue transmitting this light with courage, creativity, and missionary passion, so that our Lord Jesus Christ be known and loved by all. (Diego Pirani s.x.)
