Continua la catechesi di Papa Francesco. Mercoledì 8 marzo 2023 ha riflettuto sul Decreto “Ad Gentes” (Nn. 2-6 e 9)

…In omnibus Christus (1 Cor 15, 28) è un brano fondamentale, perché dice che l’amore del Padre ha per destinatario ogni essere umano. L’amore di Dio non è per un gruppetto soltanto, no... per tutti. Quella parola mettetela bene nella testa e nel cuore: tutti, tutti, nessuno escluso, così dice il Signore. E questo amore per ogni essere umano è un amore che raggiunge ogni uomo e donna attraverso la missione di Gesù, mediatore della salvezza e nostro redentore, e mediante la missione dello Spirito Santo, il quale, Spirito Santo, opera in ciascuno, sia nei battezzati sia nei non battezzati.

…la dimensione ecclesiale dell’evangelizzazione costituisce perciò un criterio di verifica dello zelo apostolico. Una verifica necessaria, perché la tentazione di procedere “in solitaria” è sempre in agguato, specialmente quando il cammino si fa impervio e sentiamo il peso dell’impegno. Altrettanto pericolosa è la tentazione di seguire più facili vie pseudo-ecclesiali, di adottare la logica mondana dei numeri e dei sondaggi, di contare sulla forza delle nostre idee, dei programmi, delle strutture, delle “relazioni che contano”…

…l’evangelizzazione è un servizio. Se una persona si dice evangelizzatore e non ha quell’atteggiamento, quel cuore di servitore, e si crede padrone, non è un evangelizzatore, no... è un poveraccio…”

Pope Francis’ catechesis continues. On Wednesday, March 8^th, 2023, he reflected on the Decree Ad Gentes 2-6 and 9.

… In omnibus Christus (“that God may be all in all.”, 1Cor 15:28) is a fundamental passage, “because it says that the love of the Father is destined for every human being. God’s love is not only for a little group, no … for everyone. Keep that word firmly in mind and in the heart: everyone, everyone, no-one excluded: this is what the Lord says. And this love for every human being is a love that reaches every man and woman through the mission of Jesus, mediator of salvation and our redeemer, and through the mission of the Holy Spirit, who – the Holy Spirit – works in everyone, both in the baptized and the non-baptized.”

“…The ecclesial dimension of evangelization constitutes a criterion for confirmation of apostolic zeal. A necessary confirmation, because the temptation of proceeding ‘alone’ is always lurking, especially when the path becomes impassable, and we feel the burden of the commitment. Equally dangerous is the temptation to follow easier pseudo-ecclesial paths, to adopt the worldly logic of numbers and polls, to rely on the strength of our ideas, programmes, structures, ‘relationships that count’ ”…

“…Evangelization is a service. If a person says that he is an evangelizer, and does not have that attitude, that servant’s heart, and believes himself to be a master, he is not an evangelizer, no … he is wretched…”
