I confratelli della Regione Camerun-Ciad, zona Sud, si sono riuniti in assemblea dall'11 (sera) al 14 aprile (mattina) nella casa di formazione di Bafoussam.

Nell’ottava di Pasqua, abbiamo dedicato una mattinata all’ascolto della Parola con la meditazione dettata da p. Renzo Larcher sx sul tema “Cammino di Emmaus, cammino di liberazione”.

Successivamente abbiamo riservato il tempo allo scambio e ai punti di attualità riguardanti ciascuna delle nostre comunità, nonché sulla situazione economica della Regione.

Il tema del “riposizionamento” all'interno della Regione, in modo particolare il processo di scorporamento della regione del Camerun e Ciad, è stato oggetto di riflessione in piccoli gruppi e di una messa in comune in assemblea. Alcuni suggerimenti sono stati fatti e il discernimento continua. Abbiamo, infine, ripreso i preparativi al XVIII Capitolo Generale, esortandoci gli uni gli altri ad essere più dinamici e partecipativi nella riflessione comune. Il clima dell'assemblea era piuttosto fraterno e abbiamo trascorso dei bei momenti insieme. I confratelli, infatti, provenivano da Yaoundé, Bafoussam e Douala. (Gilbert Mbula Niyitegeka sx)

We, confreres belonging to the Southern Zone of the Cameroon-Chad Region, held our assembly in the formation house of Bafoussam from the evening of April 11^th to the morning of 14^th.

It was the Octave of Easter; therefore, we dedicated one morning to listening to the Word and to a meditation by Fr. Renzo Larcher s.x. on the theme “The Way to Emmaus, the Way to Liberation”.

We then set aside time for exchange on current affairs concerning each of our communities, and on the economic situation of the Region.

The theme of “repositioning” within the Region, in particular the process of dividing the Cameroon-Chad region, was the object of reflection in small groups and of sharing in assembly. Some suggestions were made, but the discernment continues. Finally, we resumed preparations for the XVIII General Chapter, urging each other to be more dynamic and to participate more actively in common reflection. The mood of the assembly was quite fraternal, in fact, we spent some good time together. The confreres came from Yaoundé, Bafoussam and Douala. (Gilbert Mbula Niyitegeka s.x.)
