Dal 04 al 07 gennaio 2024, i Saveriani della Circoscrizione Saveriana del Brasile Nord hanno concluso il ritiro spirituale guidato dal nostro confratello Dom Adolfo Zon Pereira s.x., presso la Casa per ritiri delle consacrate e consacrati di “Sementes do Verbo” a Belém. Il tema del nostro incontro è stato il Documento “Santarém 50 anni: gratitudine e profezia”. Questo Documento è frutto del IV incontro della Chiesa Cattolica nell’ Amazônia Legal (Amazzonia Legale), per fare memoria dei 50 anni dello storico documento del 1972. Questo ritiro è stato anche un tempo spirituale-pastorale-missionario, con riflessioni ed esperienze dirette di Dom Adolfo, serene e con il cuore aperto, evidenziando i segni della vita cristiana in mezzo a molteplici sfide.

È seguita la nostra Assemblea annuale dal 7 al 10 gennaio 2024 presso la Casa “Mariapolis Gloria”, ad Ananindeua. Il nostro tema è stato l'economia, dove abbiamo presentato i principi che ci guidano nel nostro essere Saveriani nel mondo e abbiamo riflettuto sul modo migliore per condividere le nostre risorse a livello regionale sulla strada per costituire un Fondo Comune Totale e cercare il nostro sostentamento con le risorse locali.

From 04 to 07 January 2024, the Xaverians Missionaries of the Circumscription of North Brazil concluded their spiritual retreat led by our confrere Dom Adolfo Zon Pereira s.x., at the retreat house for consecrated men and women of "Sementes do Verbo" in Belém.

The main topic of our retreat was the Document "Santarém 50 years: gratitude and prophecy". This Document is the fruit of the IV meeting of the Catholic Church in the Amazônia Legal (Brazil's Legal Amazon, is the largest socio-geographic division in Brazil, containing all nine states in the Amazon basin) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the historic document of 1972. This retreat was also a spiritual-pastoral-missionary time, with reflections and direct experiences of Dom Adolfo, serene and with an open heart, highlighting the signs of Christian life in the midst of multiple challenges.

This was followed by our Annual Assembly from 7 to 10 January 2024 at the “Mariapolis Gloria” house in Ananindeua. The main topic was our economy. We presented the values that guide us as Xaverian Missionaries in the world. We also reflected upon the best way to share our resources regionally, on the way to establish a Total Common Fund and seek our sustenance from local resources.
