Sabato15 aprile 2023, alle ore 9.00, nella cattedrale di Belém (Pará), sarà ordinato vescovo il nostro confratello Mons. Paolo Andreolli per il servizio di vescovo ausiliare dell’Arcidiocesi di Belém. Il vescovo ordinante sarà Dom Alberto Taveira Corrêa, arcivescovo di Belém (PA), e i due vescovi co-consacranti: Dom Bernardo Johannes Bahlmann O.F.M, vescovo della diocesi di Óbidos (PA) e Dom Adolfo Zon Pereira SX, vescovo della diocesi di Alto Solimões (AM).
Il motto episcopale scelto dal nostro confratello è “Corações ardentes pés a caminho” (“Cuori ardenti e piedi in cammino”), un chiaro riferimento al testo lucano (24, 32-33): “Nonne cor nostrum ardens erat in nobis, dum loqueretur nobis in via…”
Gli elementi presenti nello stemma episcopale sono 1) un cuore ardente, 2) “i piedi in cammino” raffigurati dal mondo intero. Esso ci ricorda anche la vocazione Saveriana, 3) la stella che rappresenta Maria quale “stella dell'evangelizzazione”; 4) i colori verde e blu rimandano alla foresta e ai fiumi della regione amazzonica.

BELÉM, PARÁ, BRAZIL – EPISCOPAL ORDINATION: “CORAÇÕES ARDENTES PÉS A CAMINHO”
On Saturday, April 15th, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. (local time), our confrere, Msgr. Paolo Andreolli, will be ordained bishop in the cathedral of Belém (Pará) for the service of auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Belém. The ordaining bishop will be Dom Alberto Taveira Corrêa, Archbishop of Belém, and the two co-ordaining prelates will be Dom Bernardo Johannes Bahlmann o.f.m., bishop of the diocese of Óbidos (PA), and Dom Adolfo Zon Pereira s.x., bishop of the diocese of Alto Solimões (AM).
The episcopal motto chosen by our confrere is “Corações ardentes pés a caminho” (Hearts on fire, feet on the move), which clearly refers to the passage from the Gospel of Luke (24: 32-33) “Nonne cor nostrum ardens erat in nobis, dum loqueretur nobis in via…”.
His coat of arms is composed of: 1) a heart on fire; 2) “feet on the move” represented by the entire world, which is also a reminder of the Xaverian vocation; 3) a star that represents Mary, the “star of evangelisation”; 4) the colours green and blue symbolising the forests and rivers of the Amazonian region.
