EDITORIA CATTOLICA: NASCE UN PROGETTO DI COOPERAZIONE TRA L’EDITRICE MISSIONARIA “E.M.I.” E “IL PORTICO”

Nuovi segnali di impegno nel panorama dell’editoria cattolica italiana. Un nuovo tassello, infatti, si aggiunge al mosaico delle sinergie editoriali. In occasione dell’udienza concessa da papa Francesco alla E.M.I. – Editrice Missionaria Italiana - per i cinquant’anni di fondazione della casa editrice, giovedì 12 maggio 2023 è stato presentato al Papa un nuovo e innovativo progetto editoriale che vedrà al centro l’alleanza tra EMI e la casa editrice “Il Portico”
La casa editrice EMI è stata fondata nel 1973, a Bologna, per poi spostare la sua sede a Verona. Essa è espressione editoriale dei 15 istituti missionari presenti in Italia operanti in ogni parte del mondo.
L’ Editrice “Il Portico” raccoglie, invece, la preziosa eredità delle Edizioni Dehoniane Bologna – EdB (aggiudicata all’asta dopo il fallimento 2021) e delle Edizioni Marietti 1820 (acquistata nel 2017).
All’udienza ha preso parte per EMI anche il nostro confratello p. Rosario Giannattasio sx in qualità di presidente della Casa Editrice.

CATHOLIC PUBLICATIONS A NEW PROJECT OF COOPERATION BETWEEN THE MISSIONARY PUBLISHING HOUSE “EMI” AND “IL PORTICO”
The panorama of Italian Catholic publications is gaining momentum. Truly, a new piece has been added to the mosaic of editorial co-operations. On Thursday May 12th, 2023, during the audience Pope Francis granted to E.M.I. – Editrice Missionaria Italiana – for the fiftieth anniversary of its foundation, a new and innovative editorial project was presented to the Pope, which will centre around the alliance between EMI and the publishing house “Il Portico.”
EMI publishing house was founded in 1973, in Bologna, but later moved its headquarter to Verona. It represents the editorial efforts of 15 missionary institutes present Italy and working in every part of the world.
Instead, “Il Portico” Publishing House carries on the precious legacy of Edizioni Dehoniane Bologna, or EDB (which was sold out at an auction following its bankruptcy in 2021), and Edizioni Marietti 1829 (acquired in 2017).
Representing EMI at the papal audience was also our confrere, Fr. Rosario Giannattasio s.x., in his capacity as president of that publishing house.
