A Douala, Centro Xavier, sabato 3 luglio la grande Famiglia di San Conforti conclude le celebrazioni del centenario della LT con la consacrazione della nuova chiesa dedicata a San Guido Conforti dal vescovo di Douala Kleda Samuel, costruita sul terreno del Centro Xavier. In questo stesso giorno Kardi Bonaventura sx è ordinato diacono e Kennie Kowa Serge Clovis sx è ordinato presbitero.

Giovedì 01 luglio, Kardi Bonaventura sx ha emesso la professione perpetua accompagnato da tutta la comunità saveriana del Camerun e una rappresentanza delle comunità del Ciad.

Venerdì 02 luglio tutta la Famiglia si è riunita di nuovo per un tempo di spiritualità animato da padre Armando Coletto a partire dalla LT. I giovani di Missio Giovani, gli adulti Amici dei Missionari Saveriani (GAMIX), le Missionarie di Maria - Saveriane e le persone vicine ai saveriani hanno partecipato attivamente a tutti questi momenti. Si respira un’atmosfera di grande simpatia nei confronti del carisma missionario portato in queste periferie di Douala quasi quarant’anni fa: dai primi saveriani, come Gianni Abeni e Benigno Franceschetti, ai tanti altri che sono venuti dopo. Essi sono i frutti del dono fatto dallo Spirito elargiti al santo Fondatore.  

On Saturday 3^rd – 2021, in the Xaverian Centre of Douala, the great Family of St. Guido Maria Conforti concludes the celebrations of the centenary of the Testament Letter (TL) with the consecration of a new church dedicated to St. Guido Maria Conforti and presided by the Bishop of Douala, Mons. Kleda Samuel. The church has been built on the ground of the Xavier Centre. On the same day our Confreres, Kardi Bonaventura s.x. is ordained Deacon, and Kennie Kowa Serge Clovis s.x. is ordained Priest.

On Thursday, July 1st – 2021, Kardi Bonaventura sx has celebrated his Perpetual Profession, accompanied by the entire Xaverian Community in Cameroun and some representatives from the communities in Chad.

On Friday, July 2^nd – 2021, the whole family has met again for a moment of spirituality based on the Testament Letter, and animated by Fr. Armando Coletto, s.x. The young people of Youth-Mission (Missio-Giovani), the adult Friends of the Xaverian Missionaries (GAMIX), the Xaverian Missionary Sisters of Mary and the people close to the Xaverians, actively participated in all these moments. There is an atmosphere of great affection towards the missionary charism that was brought to these suburbs of Douala almost forty years ago by the first Xaverians, such as Fr. Gianni Abeni and Fr. Benigno Franceschetti, as well as by many others who came afterwards. We see the fruits of the gift given by the Holy Spirit and bestowed on the Holy Founder.
