…È significativo riflettere sull’amore alla vocazione laddove i Servi di Dio Carrara, Faccin, Didoné e Joubert, hanno versato il sangue nel 1964. Organizzare il Capitolo in una terra dove tutt’ora, a qualche centinaio di chilometri da Bukavu, ci sono conflitti armati, ci ricorda che la missione è un cammino di fede in un contesto ben preciso nel quale incarnarsi e, con speranza, scoprirvi il Risorto.
…Nei nostri lavori abbiamo seguito lo stesso procedimento che ci ha accompagnato nella fase precapitolare: “da dove veniamo”, “dove siamo” e “verso dove andiamo”, considerando la sintesi delle vostre risposte alle schede preparatorie. Le riflessioni e il dibattito capitolari sono confluiti in quattro documenti che offrono le linee programmatiche dei prossimi anni e ci aiuteranno a amare la nostra vocazione: a viverla come famiglia, a formarci per consolidarla, a realizzarla nell’apertura al mondo, in seno alla Chiesa locale.
…Abbiamo preso coscienza che il nostro carisma ha, già da tempo, varcato le frontiere dell’Istituto per diventare un patrimonio comune per tutti coloro, uomini e donne, che si sentono attratti dallo spirito di San Guido e desiderano viverlo ciascuno secondo le proprie modalità specifiche. È la realtà, molteplice e ricca, che riconosciamo con l’espressione “Famiglia carismatica saveriana”.
…È un capitolo che si è celebrato in un momento in cui la congregazione, con la Chiesa universale, sta prendendo coscienza che la missione ad gentes non può più essere concepita secondo il semplice schema mentale “io do, tu ricevi”. Essa, liberata da questa visione, si allarga a tutti i continenti. La Chiesa è chiamata a uscire verso le gentes ovunque, Africa, Americhe, Asia, Europa…

…It is significant to reflect on the love of vocation where the Servants of God Carrara, Faccin, Didoné and Joubert shed their blood in 1964. Organizing the General Chapter in a land where even now, a few hundred kilometers from Bukavu, there are armed conflicts, reminds us that the mission is a journey of faith in a precise context in which to incarnate and, with hope, to discover the Risen One.
…In our work we have followed the same procedure that accompanied us in the preparatory phase: "where we come from", "where we are" and "towards where we are going", considering the synthesis of your answers to the preparatory thematic sheets. The Chapter reflections and debates have converged into four documents which offer the programmatic guidelines for the coming years and will help us to love our vocation: to live it as a family, to form ourselves so to consolidate it, to realize it by opening to the world, within the local Church.
…We have become aware that our charism has, for some time now, crossed the borders of the Institute to become a common heritage for all those, men and women, who feel attracted by the spirit of San Guido and each wish to live it in their own specific way. This is the reality, multiple and rich, that we recognize by the expression “Xaverian Charismatic Family”.
… It is a chapter that has been celebrated at a time when the Congregation, with the universal Church, is becoming aware that the mission ad gentes can no longer be conceived according to the simple mental scheme "I give, you receive". Freed from this vision, it spreads to all continents. The Church is called to go out to the gentes everywhere, Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe. …
