A un anno della beatificazione dei martiri di Uvira, la Postulazione generale dei Missionari Saveriani pubblica la seconda edizione, rivista e aggiornata, della biografia, in lingua francese, del beato Albert Joubert scritta dal compianto p. Guglielmo Camera, dal titolo: “Bienheureux Albert Joubert, martyr de la fraternité”. La nuova edizione è presentata da Mons. Fulgence Muteba Mugalu, Arcivescovo di Lubumbashi e Presidente della Conferenza Episcopale Nazionale del Congo (CENCO). Situando il martirio dei beati Albert e compagni saveriani nel contesto di altre belle testimonianze di fede, Mons. Muteba chiede al lettore di conoscerne la storia e di imitare la loro fede, la loro forza, la loro “mistica del lavoro”, la passione per l’Africa e il desiderio di costruire la Chiesa “nel sudore e nel sangue”. “Questo libro – conclude Mons. Muteba – è un invito ad interrogarci sul nostro modo di essere e di fare Chiesa e uno stimolo al cambiamento”. (Faustino Turco sx)

A year after the beatification of the Martyrs from Uvira, the General Postulation of the Xaverian Missionaries publishes the second, revised and updated edition of the French biography of blessed Albert Joubert. Authored by the late Fr. Guglielmo Camera, the title of this book is “Bienheureux Albert Joubert, martyr de la fraternité.” This new edition is introduced by Msgr. Fulgence Muteba Mugalu, Archbishop of Lubumbashi and President of the National Bishop Conference of Congo. Msgr. Mutumba places the martyrdom of blessed Albert and his Xaverian companions within the context of other beautiful witnesses of faith, and invites the reader to get to know their story and imitate their faith, strength, their “spirituality of work,” passion for Africa and desire to build the Church “through sweat and through blood.” “This book” – concludes Msgr.
