Condividiamo i 6 punti scritti da un confratello, avanzato in età, dopo anni di donazione nella consacrazione missionaria, nel battesimo, nel presbiterato e nell’episcopato:

1) Esperienza che c’è un solo Assoluto: Dio. Tutto il resto è relativo. 2) Non c’è più la preoccupazione degli orari di ufficio, dei progetti, di risolvere i problemi. Il Regno è di Dio. 3) Fortezza nella debolezza (San Paolo). “Ho la fortuna di essere debole”, diceva il nostro confratello p. Silvio Turazzi. 4) Maggior apprezzamento delle attenzioni e dell’aiuto degli altri. 5) Più tempo per interessi personali: preghiera, letture, studi, relax. 6) Attendere la morte come l’invito al banchetto delle nozze dell’Agnello (Ap. 19,9).

Below we share six thoughts written by a confrere in the winter of life, after years of self-giving in missionary consecration, in baptism, in priesthood and episcopate:

1) The experience that there is only one Absolute: God. Everything else is relative. 2) There is no longer worrying about office hours, projects, solving problems. The Reign belongs to God. 3) Strength in weakness (St Paul): “I am lucky to be weak” used to say our confrere Fr. Silvio Turazzi. 4) Greater appreciation for the care and help others give me. 5) More time for personal interests: prayer, reading, studying, relaxations. 6) Waiting for death as the invitation to the wedding banquet of the Lamb (Rev. 19:9).
