“A nome della comunità di Desio, i confratelli Valeriano Ruaro, Emmanuel Adili Mwassa, Jean Paul Majambere e Domenico Vignato, si sono recati a Porto S. Giorgio (Italia), dove è sepolto p. Enrico Di Nicolò, morto l’11 marzo 2020. In pellegrinaggio, il giorno 3 ottobre 2020 siamo arrivati a Loreto dove abbiamo celebrato la Messa nella cappella del crocifisso. Il giorno seguente, dopo aver trascorso la notte nella nostra casa di Ancona (dove i confratelli ci hanno accolti con tanta umanità e gentilezza), insieme ad altri due confratelli di questa comunità, siamo andati alla parrocchia Gesù Redentore – parrocchia di p. Enrico di Nicolò. Il parroco Don Pietro ci ha accolti e guidati alla casa di p. Enrico dove siamo stati ricevuti dalla sorella di P. Enrico. Ci siamo scambiati due parole, abbiamo visitato la casa e ci siamo dati l’appuntamento di ritrovarci alle 13:00 per la celebrazione eucaristica.

Nella bellissima cappella della parrocchia, oltre ai 6 confratelli Saveriani, c’era anche Don Gabriele (parroco emerito e figura storica della parrocchia), la signora Alba, sorella di P. Enrico, e alcuni suoi amici. La messa è stata celebrata in un clima di gratitudine e di commozione per quello che è stato p. Enrico su questa terra.

Dopo la Messa ci siamo recati al cimitero dove è sepolto P. Enrico. Con la recita del “Salve Regina” ci siamo salutati.” ( Emmanuel Adili Mwassa sx.)

“On behalf and representing the Community of Desio, our Confrerres Valeriano Ruaro, Emmanuel Adili Mwassa, Jean Paul Majambere and Domenico Vignato, went to Porto S. Giorgio (Italy), where Fr. Enrico Di Nicolò, s.x. died on March 11^th – 2020.  On a pilgrimage, on October 3^rd, we arrived in Loreto, where we celebrated Mass in the Chapel of the Crucifix.  The nest day, after spending the night in our Xaverian House of Ancona (where our confreres welcomed us with so much humanity and kindness), together with two other confreres of this community, we went to the parish: ’Jesus, The Redeemer’ – parish of Fr. Enrico Di Nicolò.   The parish priest, Don Pietro welcomed us and guided us to the home of Fr. Enrico where we were received by the sister of Fr. Enrico.  We exchanged few words, visited the house and arranged to meet again at 1:00 PM for the Eucharistic Celebration.  In the beautiful Chapel of the Parish, in addition to six Xaverian Confreres, there was also Don Gabriele (emeritus parish priest and historical figure in the parish), Mrs. Alba, sister of Fr. Enrico, and some of his friends.   The Mass was celebrated in an atmosphere of gratitude and emotion for what was Fr. Enrico Di Nicolò, s.x. on this earth.

After the Mass, we went to the cemetery where Fr. Enrico Di Nicolò is buried.  We prayed the “Hail, Holy Queen ….”, and then we said  goodbye…”  (Emmanuel Adili Mwassa, s.x.)
