Mi chiamo Paskalis Rifandi Kaut, vengo dall'isola di Flores, in Indonesia, e sono uno dei giovani che - Domenica 25 giugno 2023 - hanno emesso i primi voti a Jakarta. Desidero rendere grazie al Signore e alla congregazione Saveriana che mi accoglie e mi aiuta ad amare la nostra vocazione saveriana. Mi sono molto interessato alla vita missionaria nella Congregazione Saveriana, soprattutto quando ho iniziato la formazione in questa famiglia e ho visto la vita dei Saveriani. La forte vita familiare e fraterna dei suoi membri è straordinaria. Quindi quando il tema del Capitolo Generale è “amare la nostra vocazione saveriana”, credo che sia una questione fondamentale anche per me, oggi. Auspico che il futuro Consiglio Generale, scelto dal XVIII Capitolo Generale, continui ad amare la vocazione Saveriana, la famiglia Saveriana e che sia disposto a donarsi ad una vita di missione come testimoniato dal nostro fondatore e padre, San Guido Maria Conforti. Desidero infine che la nostra Congregazione, attraverso l’azione dello Spirito Santo, possa individuare i giusti passi in avanti per affrontare le sfide della missione oggi. My name is Paskalis Rifandi Kaut. I am from Flores Island, Indonesia, and am one of the young people who made their first vows in Jakarta on Sunday, June 25, 2023. I would like to give thanks to the Lord and to the Xaverian Congregation who receives me and helps me love our Xaverian vocation. I became very interested in missionary life in the Xaverian Congregation, especially when I started formation in the Xaverian family and saw the life of the Xaverians. The strong family life and fraternity among its members is remarkable. So when seeing that the General Chapter’s theme is about “loving our Xaverian vocation”, I believe that it is a fundamental question also for me today. I hope that the future General Council, chosen by the XVIII General Chapter, will continue loving the Xaverian vocation, Xaverian family and will be willing to give themselves to a life of mission as exemplified by our founder and father, St. Guido Maria Conforti. I also hope that our Congregation, through the power of the Holy Spirit, can identify the right steps forward to face the challenges of today's mission. (Paskal Rifandi Kaut, generation 2002)
