Durante le vacanze estive (da fine giugno a metà agosto), la comunità della Filosofia di Giacarta è impegnata in varie attività.

La prima è stata il ritiro annuale guidato da p. Antonius Wahyudianto s.x. che si è svolto a Sukabumi dal 26 giugno al 1 luglio 2023. Dopo questi esercizi spirituali, la comunità di filosofia ha trascorso tre giorni di campeggio a Situ Cipiit, nella stessa area di Sukabumi, Java Occidentale. Concluso il campeggio estivo, i membri della comunità si sono divisi per seguire programmi differenti: live-in sociale, live-in pastorale, e vacanze in famiglia.

Tre studenti del primo anno sono stati mandati per un’esperienza di solidarietà con i poveri, gli ammalati e i non-cristiani nella zona di Giacarta della durata di quattro settimane. Sette studenti del secondo anno hanno avuto la possibilità di far visita alle proprie famiglie per tre settimane. Tre studenti del terzo anno sono stati inviati per quattro settimane a fare delle attività missionarie nelle nostre parrocchie saveriane. Quattro studenti del quarto anno sono rimasti in comunità a lavorare sulla propria tesi che deve essere ultimata per settembre, prima degli esami di ottobre e dicembre 2023. Nel frattempo, gli otto neo-professi hanno visitato le nostre comunità saveriane di Sumatra (Sumatra occidentale, Riau, e Sumatra settentrionale) per conoscere meglio il lavoro missionario portato avanti dai nostri confratelli. The community of Philosophy Jakarta has been undertaking some activities during this summer holiday (from the end of June until the middle of August). The first was the annual retreat led by Fr. Antonius Wahyudianto s.x. in Sukabumi, from June 26^th to July 1^st 2023. After these Spiritual Exercises, the Philosophy community went for three days of summer camp in Situ Cipiit, the same area as Sukabumi, West Java. After the summer camp, the members of the community were spread to follow different programs: social live-in, pastoral live-in, and holidays in the family.

Three students in the I year were sent to experience solidarity with the poor, the sick and non-Christian people around Jakarta for four weeks. Seven students in the II year were given the chance to visit their families for three weeks. Three students of the III year were sent to experience the missionary activities in our Xaverian parishes for four weeks. Four students of the IV year remained in the community to work on their dissertation which should be finished in September before their exams in October and December 2023. In the meantime, eight newly professed visited our Xaverian communities in Sumatra (west Sumatra, Riau, and north Sumatra) to know better the missionary activities carried out by our confreres.
