6 settembre.

Fr. Codenotti wrote on Sept. 6: "Last night, in Hokkaido (North Japan), there was a strong earthquake (6,7). There were powerful tremors which will continue possibly (6,7) for the next week. There could be several victims - there are twenty dispersed.

It seems that this year (2018) is a year of constant surprises for all of Japan. Earthquakes, typhoons and floods are the causes. We too suffered some damages by the typhoon of Osaka. Some of the churches and kindergartens of our area suffered several damages: roofs and windows. Some walls were damaged by flying debries and objects falling from neighboring buildings. Next week I will be going back by boat to the Domus. There too there will be some surprises: part of the Chapel roof has been blown away. Trees of our garden and street have fallen. "
