In occasione della visita di Papa Francesco, la comunità del Teologato s.x. ha vibrato al ritmo dell'intera RDC e, in particolare, della popolazione di Kinshasa. La stava aspettando con impazienza.
La comunità si è preparata alla visita con la preghiera quotidiana, chiedendo a Dio che vada bene e che produca molto frutto nei cuori dei congolesi. La comunità ha partecipato a una delle due serate preparatorie organizzate dalla nostra parrocchia. A parte un giovane confratello studente, allettato a causa della malaria, il 31 gennaio 2023 la comunità si è mescolata alla folla che ha riservato al Santo Padre un'accoglienza senza pari. Il giorno dopo, alle 3:00, si è unita a tre confratelli che, vegliando e pregando, avevano trascorso la notte nel luogo della celebrazione eucaristica. Giovedì 2 febbraio quattro giovani confratelli sono stati tra i fortunati eletti che hanno partecipato all'incontro di religiosi e religiose, sacerdoti e seminaristi, intorno al Santo Padre, nella cattedrale di Notre Dame du Congo. KINSHASA - DRC: THE XAVERIAN THEOLOGATE VIBRATED TO THE RHYTHM OF THE CONGOLESE PEOPLE
On the occasion of the visit of Pope Francis, the community of the Xaverian Theologate vibrated to the rhythm of the entire DRC and, in particular, of the population of Kinshasa. The community was waiting impatiently for this visit.
The community prepared for the visit with daily prayer asking the Lord that the visit may go well and sow fruitful seeds in the hearts of the Congolese. The confreres participated in one of the two preparatory evenings organized by our parish. Apart from a young student confrere, bedridden with malaria, on 31 January the community mingled with the crowd who gave the pope an incomparable welcome. On the following day, at 3:00, the community joined three confreres who, staying awake and praying, had spent the night in the place of the Eucharistic celebration. On Thursday 2 February, four young confreres were among the blessed ones elected to take part in the meeting of men and women religious, priests and seminarians, around the pope, in the cathedral of Notre Dame du Congo.
