P. Alejo (Aleixo) Vera Armas sx (in memoriam), vicario della parrocchia di Sant'Ana, a Laranjeiras do Sul (PR), deceduto a causa del Covid il 27 febbraio 2021, all'età di 61 anni, è stato ricordato e onorato dal Consiglio comunale locale.

Il presidente dell’organo di governo locale, il Signor Carlos Aberto Machado (Magrão), ha proposto, con disegno di legge 02/2022, di intitolare la strada Rua “D” al confratello scomparso. La strada è situata nella suddivisione Imigrantes, del quartiere Água Verde. Ora la strada si chiamerà “Rua Padre Aleixo Veras Armas”. Il suo ricordo sarà sempre vivo nei nostri cuori e nelle buone opere che ha lasciato per la città di Laranjeiras do Sul.

P. Aleixo (Alejo), messicano, giunse in Brasile come studente di Teologia e lavorò per otto anni a Laranjeiras do Sul come vicario parrocchiale. In precedenza, aveva lavorato a Londrina (PR), São Paulo (SP) e Pirajú (SP).

The late Fr. Alejo (Aleixo) Vera Armas s.x., vicar of Sant’Ana Parish in Laranjeiras do Sul (PR), who on February 27^th, 2021, died of Covid at the age of 61, has been commemorated and honoured by the local City Council.

The president of the local government, Mr Carlos Aberto Machado (Magrão), through bill 02/2022, has proposed to name road Rua “D” after our late confrere. That road is in the Imigrantes section of Água Verde district. Now the name of the road will be “Rua Padre Aleixo Veras Armas.” His memory will always remain alive in our hearts and through the good deeds he left to the city of Laranjeiras do Sul. 

Fr. Aleixo (Alejo), Mexican, who had come to Brazil when still a student of theology, worked in Laranjeiras do Sul as parish vicar for eight years. He had previously worked in Londrina (PR), São Paulo (SP) and Pirajú (SP).
