Venerdì 25 marzo 2022, in occasione della solennità dell’Annunciazione del Signore, Papa Francesco ha presieduto l’Atto di Consacrazione dell’umanità intera, e in particolare Russia e Ucraina, al cuore Immacolato di Maria:

“…vuole essere un gesto della Chiesa Universale, che in questo momento drammatico porta a Dio, attraverso la Madre sua e nostra, il grido di dolore di quanti soffrono e implorano la fine della violenza, e affida l’avvenire dell’umanità alla Regina della pace. La Chiesa, in quest’ora buia, è fortemente chiamata a intercedere presso il Principe della pace e a farsi vicina a quanti pagano sulla propria pelle le conseguenze del conflitto…”.

On Friday, March 25^th, 2022, Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, Pope Francis presided over the Act of Consecration of humanity, and Russia and Ukraine in particular, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“… [this act] is meant to be a gesture of the universal Church, which in this dramatic moment lifts up to God, through his Mother and ours, the cry of pain of all those who suffer and implore an end to the violence, and to entrust the future of our human family to the Queen of Peace. At this dark hour, the Church is urgently called to intercede before the Prince of Peace and to demonstrate her closeness to those directly affected by the conflict…”
