Ma quando mai avrei pensato che saremmo arrivati in un tempo in cui le mascherine, che soffocano e limitano l’espressione facciale, avrebbero impedito la proliferazione di un virus letale! 

E quando mai avrei pensato di vedere un presepio di mascherine, senza maschere che falsificano le persone, ma con mascherine che hanno salvato vite, operadi un artista geniale!  

Benedette le mascherine che non mascherano, ma al contrario, portano un mistero alla sua essenza, rivelano il volto di Dio, al di là della dimensione della creatività!

I have never imagined we would have reached a moment when masks – these suffocating devices that hide facial expressions – prevent the proliferation of a deadly virus.

And I have never imagined I would have seen a nativity scene made of masks: not with masks that falsify people, but masks that saved lives, and are now used by a genial artist.

Blessed be the masks that do not hide but, on the contrary, bring the mystery of life to its essence, and reveal the face of God beyond the dimension of creativity!
