Sulla bacheca della Casa Madre di Parma si trova una lettera scritta da Davide, giovane pugliese, che ha vissuto per un mese in Casa Madre. Davide è solito trascorrere dei periodi di tempo presso la comunità della Casa Madre: “…in questo mio percorso di “edificazione” umana e professionale, una fila lunga di “mattoni” recherà sempre impresso anche il nome di voi missionari Saveriani…Grazie per tutte le volte che mi avete accolto con amicizia, comprensione, rispetto e umanità; mi sono sentito sempre perfettamente integrato e mai un estraneo.

Siete “un posto bellissimo in cui abitare”, e questa serenità che mi avete trasmesso, mi ha permesso di rendere sempre al meglio nei periodi in cui sono stato vostro ospite.

Penso che non potesse esserci un nome migliore di “Casa Madre” per questa vostra residenza, perché è un ambiente che trasmette calore, allo stesso modo di come sa avvolgerti un grande abbraccio materno… Con grandissimo affetto e gratitudine, Davide.  

On the notice board of the Mother House in Parma, there is a letter written by Davide, a young man from Puglia that spent one month in the Mother House. Davide regularly spends periods of time in the community of the Mother House. He writes: “…In my journey of human and professional “building up”, a long line of “bricks” will always bear printed your name, Xaverian missionaries… Thank you for the many times you have welcomed me with friendship, understanding, respect and humanity; I have always felt completely integrated and never felt a stranger.

You are “a very beautiful place where to live”, and the serenity you transmitted to me has always allowed me to make the most of the time I spent as your guest.

I think there is no better name for your residence than “Mother House”, because your is a place that spreads warmth, just like a mother’s embrace does… With great affection and gratitude, Davide.
