Sabato 09 ottobre e domenica 10 ottobre 2021 Papa Francesco aprirà ufficialmente il Sinodo sulla Sinodalità con la Chiesa universale e per la Diocesi di Roma.

Il Tema del sinodo, che avrà luogo sia in Vaticano che in ciascuna diocesi, sarà “Per una Chiesa sinodale: comunione, partecipazione e missione”.

Il percorso per la celebrazione del Sinodo, che domenica 17 ottobre si aprirà nelle diocesi, sotto la presidenza del rispettivo vescovo, si articolerà in tre fasi, tra l’ottobre del 2021 e l’ottobre del 2023, passando per una fase 1) diocesana e una 2) continentale, che daranno vita a due differenti Instrumentum Laboris, fino a quella conclusiva a livello di 3) Chiesa Universale.

Domenica 10 ottobre papa Francesco avvierà il cammino sinodale durante la celebrazione dell’Eucaristia in Piazza San Pietro, alle ore 10.00.

On Saturday, October 9^th, and Sunday, October 10^th, 2021, Pope Francis will officially open the Synod on Synodality with the universal Church and for the Diocese of Rome.   

Theme of the Synod that will take place both at the Vatican and in each Diocese will be: “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission”.

The celebration of this Synod, which in the Dioceses will begin on Sunday, October 17^th, 2021, under the presidency of their respective Bishops, will be divided into three phases, between October 2021 and October 2023: 1) a diocesan and 2) a continental phases, which will generate two ‘Instrumentum Laboris’, leading to the final phase, one at the level of  3) Universal  Church. 

The synodal journey will start with a Eucharistic celebration presided by Pope Francis on Sunday, October 10^th, 2021, at 10.00 a.m. in St Peter’s Square.
