Il 29 giugno 2022 è uscito il primo numero di L’Osservatore di Strada, il Periodico dell’Osservatore Romano, Città del Vaticano. Il secondo titolo del Periodico è “Il Giornale dell’Amicizia Sociale e della Fraternità”.

Voluto da papa Francesco, si tratta del nuovo mensile de “L’Osservatore Romano”. In questo giornale gli ultimi diventano protagonisti: infatti, persone povere ed emarginate partecipano al lavoro di redazione, scrivendo, lasciandosi intervistare, illustrando le pagine di questo mensile, che viene offerto gratuitamente. Se qualcuno vuole dare qualcosa la può dare volontariamente, ma l’invito è quello di prenderlo liberamente perché è un bel lavoro che viene dalla base, dai poveri, come espressione di quelli che sono emarginati…” (Piazza San Pietro, “Angelus Domini”, 29 giugno 2022, solennità dei Santi Pietro e Paolo) 

On June 29^th, 2022, the first issue of Osservatore di Strada (Street Observer), a periodical published by Osservatore Romano (The Roman Observer), Vatican City. The new publication is subtitled “Journal of Social Friendship and Fraternity.”

Commissioned by Pope Francis, this is a new monthly newspaper of the Osservatore Romano. “In this newspaper, the last ones become protagonists. In fact, poor and marginalised people take part in the editing of the newspaper by contributing with their own writings, by accepting to be interviewed, and through the illustrations of its pages. The periodical is provided free of charge. If someone wishes, he/she may give a free contribution. In any case, readers are invited to pick it up freely because this is a work that comes from the grass roots, the poor, as an expression of the marginalised ones…” (San Peter Square, “Angelus Domini”, June 29^th, 2022, Solemnity of Saint Peter and Paul)
