L’attività di Shinmeizan come "Casa di Preghiera" accompagna sempre quella del "Centro di dialogo interreligioso". Anche lo scorso anno gli ospiti sono stati più di cinquecento. Tra questi non mancano anche ospiti provenienti dall’estero...Chi si ferma per un giorno e chi per due o tre settimane (come i due pastori Protestanti venuti dalla Svezia e dalla Francia rispettivamente). Ma non è certo frequente avere come ospite un cardinale. La scorsa settimana il Card. Michael Louis Fitzgerald è venuto dall’ Inghilterra a Shinmeizan, dal 20 al 27 aprile 2024, per i suoi personali esercizi spirituali annuali. Per lunghi anni alla guida del Pontificio Consiglio (ora "Dicastero") per il Dialogo Interreligioso, il Card. Fitzgerald aveva già visitato più volte Shinmeizan ed ora ha voluto ritornare ancora una volta su questa collina "Casa di Preghiera e di Dialogo Interreligioso". (Franco Sottocornola sx)

The activities of Shinmeizan as House of Prayer go always hand in hand with those of its Centre for Interreligious Dialogue. Last year, its guests were once again more than five hundred, including foreign guests. Some stay for one day, other for two or three weeks (as in the case of two Protestant pastors, respectively from Sweden and France). However, having a cardinal as a guest is not really common. Last week, Card. Michael Louis Fitzgerald came to Shinmeizan from England. He stayed for his own yearly spiritual exercises from April 20^th to 27^th, 2024. Formerly, during his leadership of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (now “Dicastery”), Card. Fitzgerald had already visited Shinmeizan many times, but he wanted to come back again on this hill, “House of Prayer and Interreligious Dialogue.” (Franco Sottocornola s.x.)
