In preparazione alla prossima visita di Papa Francesco un convegno di studio, organizzato da "Studies in inter-religious relations in plural societies (SRP) programme" e "Asia Research Institute (ARI)" di Singapore, ha raccolto specialisti e rappresentanti del mondo accademico del Sud-Est Asiatico per riflettere sul tema "The Vatican and Inter-Religious Diplomacy in Asia", tenutosi a Singapore nei giorni 29 e 30 agosto 2024. Dal Giappone è stata invitata a partecipare la Missionaria di Maria – Saveriana, Maria De Giorgi di Shinmeizan, che è intervenuta trattando il tema: "Christian-Buddhist relations in Japan today: a contribution to social harmony and dialogue". SINGAPORE AND SHINMEIZAN CENTER: IN PREPARATION FOR POPE FRANCIS' VISIT TO ASIA
In preparation for the forthcoming visit of Pope Francis, a study conference, organized by the ‘Studies in inter-religious relations in plural societies (SRP) programme’ and the ‘Asia Research Institute (ARI)’ of Singapore, brought together specialists and representatives of the academic world of Southeast Asia to reflect on the theme ‘The Vatican and Inter-Religious Diplomacy in Asia’, held in Singapore on 29 and 30 August 2024. From Japan, the Xaverian Missionary of Mary, Maria De Giorgi (Shinmeizan Center) was invited to participate to speak on the theme: ‘Christian-Buddhist relations in Japan today: a contribution to social harmony and dialogue’.
