Nel fine settimana del 14-15 settembre, si è consumata un’era per la Regione Saveriana nell'Arcidiocesi di Glasgow. Dopo una presenza di oltre 25 anni ed in 6 parrocchie, il nostro tempo nell'Arcidiocesi è giunto al termine. P. Ian Bathgate, P. Eugenio Montesi, P. William Hattie hanno lasciato l'Arcidiocesi per iniziare un nuovo ministero pastorale altrove. La presenza saveriana nell'Arcidiocesi era ricominciata alla fine degli anni ‘90 con un servizio protratto alle parrocchie di Nostra Signora e St. Margaret's Kinning Park (1998-1999). In seguito, ci si è fatti carico di un altro impegno di lungo termine a St. Vincent de Paul in Thornliebank (1999-2000) e poi della gestione della parrocchia del Sacro Cuore a Bridgeton (2001-2010). Successivamente ci siamo trasferiti a St. Alphonsus (2010-2017) e infine a St. Batholomew's nel 2017, a cui si è aggiunta St. Margaret Mary nel 2018. Lasciamo l'Arcidiocesi con tristezza, ma continueremo ugualmente ad aiutare e ad essere presenti ogniqualvolta ci sarà possile. (Patrick Duffy s.x.)

The weekend of September 14/15 seen the end of an era for the Region in the Archdiocese of Glasgow. After a presence of more than 25 years and 6 parishes our time in the Archdiocese has come to an end. Fr. Ian Bathgate, Fr. Eugenio Montesi, Fr. William Hattie are leaving the Archdiocese and begin new pastoral ministry elsewhere. The Xaverian presence in the Archdiocese restarted in the late 1990’s with a long term supply at Our Lady & St. Margaret's Kinning Park (1998-1999), followed by another long term supply at St. Vincent de Paul, Thornliebank (1999-2000) and then the running of Sacred Heart, Bridgeton (2001 – 2010), followed by a move to St. Alphonsus (2010 – 2017) and finally St. Batholomew’s in 2017 with St. Margaret Mary’s joining in 2018. It is with sadness that we are leaving the Archdiocese, but we will still continue to help and be present when we can! (Patrick Duffys.x.)
