Il 26 marzo 2022 si è svolta, sia in presenza che on line, l’ VIII Assemblea Generale elettiva dei Missionari Laici Saveriani della Regione Saveriana del Brasile Meridionale e che ha visto la partecipazione di più di 70 persone. Il tema trattato è stato “Sinodalità e Missione”, alla luce anche della celebrazione dei 70 anni di vita e missione dei Missionari Saveriani in Brasile.
Hanno partecipato anche i pp. Rafael López Villaseñor sx, João Filho Bortoloci sx, Elvis Ndihokubwayo sx, Thiago Rodrígues sx, Giovanni Murazzo sx e Marcelo Alves de Ávila Ribeiro sx.
Nonostante le pesanti restrizioni dovute alla pandemia, i gruppi dei Laici Saveriani sono riusciti a portare avanti le loro attività con impegno. L'Assemblea ha testimoniato un nuovo spirito: tutti abbiamo mostrato la nostra disponibilità a ricercare l'ideale del nostro Fondatore San Guido Maria Conforti: "Portare il nostro povero contributo all’avveramento del desiderio del Signore, la formazione di una sola famiglia cristiana che abbraccia l’umanità”. I gruppi sono presenti in quattro stati: São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná e Santa Catarina. Abbiamo in totale 6 gruppi attivi.
P. Thiago Rodrígues sx, facendo riferimento al n. 58 delle Costituzioni Saveriane, ha ricordato che il progetto educativo del Saveriano trova in Cristo, uomo perfetto, il modello di vita. Tende allo sviluppo integrale ed armonico di persone animate da una fede viva come amicizia con Lui e capacità di lettura evangelica della realtà, una speranza incrollabile nell’impegno apostolico; una carità operosa fino al dono totale di sé.
È seguito un tempo di condivisione e riflessione - tra i partecipanti - sui temi che riteniamo debbano essere d'ora in poi approfonditi per definire gli orientamenti dei Laici Missionari Saveriani. (Patty, Laica Missionaria Saveriana)
On March 20th, 2022, the VIII General Elective Assembly of the Xaverian Lay Missionaries in the Xaverian Region of Southern Brazil took place in-person and on-line. More than 70 people were in attendance. In light of the celebration of the 70 years of the Xaverian Missionaries’ life and mission in Brazil, the theme discussed in the assembly was “Sinodality and Mission”.
Fr. Rafael López Villaseñor s.x., Fr. João Filho Bortoloci s.x., Fr. Elvis Ndihokubwayo s.x., Fr. Thiago Rodrígues s.x., Fr. Giovanni Murazzo s.x. and Marcelo Alves de Ávila Ribeiro s.x. took part as well.
Despite heavy restrictions due to the pandemic, the Lay Xaverian teams were able to carry on their activities with dedication. A new common spirit emerged from the assembly: we all manifested the willingness to pursue our Founder St Guido Maria Conforti’s ideal: “giving our own modest contribution to the fulfilment of Christ’s wish: the formation of a single Christian family embracing all humanity.” Our teams are present in four states: São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná and Santa Catarina, for a total of six active groups.
By referring to Xaverian Constitutions n. 58, Fr. Thiago Rodrígues reminded that the formation project of a Xaverian “takes Christ, the perfect man, as its life model. It aims at the integral and harmonious formation of persons motivated by a living faith as friendship with the Lord, the ability to view life events in the light of the Gospel, unshakable hope in our apostolic commitment, and an industrious love extending to the complete gift of self.”
A time for sharing and common reflection among participants on themes that we reckon need to be deepened so as to define the guidelines of the Xaverian Lay Missionaries followed. (Patty, Lay Xaverian missionary woman)
