Oggi, sabato 6 novembre, nel Duomo di Milano si tiene un incontro dal respiro sinodale: 200 giovani e 14 vescovi giunti da tutta la regione della Lombardia si ritroveranno insieme in dialogo. Cinque i temi dei 14 tavoli di confronto che si tengono in Cattedrale: 1) Vocazione, lavoro; 2) affetti, vita e dono di sé;  3) riti, 4) intercultura 5) ed ecologia.

L’arcivescovo di Milano, Mario Enrico Delpini, nelle sue parole d’invito, scrive: “Prima di parlare, vorremmo ascoltare. Invece di indicare una via, vorremmo percorrerla insieme…Ci sono giovani che camminano. Altri corrono e non si curano della strada, credono sia già fatta e sicura. Alcuni stanno fermi, come macchine in un parcheggio: potrebbero correre lontano, ma sono convinti che non c’è più la strada e che non c’è nessuna meta che meriti la fatica del cammino. Altri cercano sentieri, tracciano percorsi, mettono mano all’impresa di rendere migliore il mondo, si incontrano con altri e hanno delle idee. I sentieri (temi, ndr) sono cinque. Non sono tutti. Ma credo che quelli scelti siano necessari…”

Today, Saturday November 6^th, in the Duomo of Milan (Milan Cathedral) a meeting characterised by great synodality is going to take place: 200 young people and 14 bishops coming from all over the region of Lombardy are coming together to dialogue. Five topics will be on the agenda of the 14 panels that will meet in the cathedral: 1) vocation, work; 2) love, life and self-giving; 3) rites; 4) interculturality; 5) ecology.

The Archbishop of Milan, Mario Enrico Delpini, in his invitation writes: “Before talking, we would like to listen. Rather than giving directions, we would like to walk together […].  There are young people who are walking. Others are running and do not care about the way, they think it is already prepared and safe. Others do not move, like cars in a parking lot: they could run far away but are convinced that there is no road anymore and no destination worth the effort of hitting the road. There are others that look for paths, trace routes, undertake the great mission of changing the world for better; they meet with others and have ideas. The paths (themes – ed.) are five. They do not include all possible paths. But I believe that those that have been chosen are the necessary ones…”
