Domenica 01 febbraio 2026 un folto gruppo di membri degli Istituti di Vita Consacrata e le Società di Vita Apostolica residenti nella Diocesi di Roma si sono ritrovati nella Basilica dei Santi Quattro Coronati, complesso del IV secolo costruito in onore di 4 martiri uccisi durante la persecuzione decretata dall’Imperatore Diocleziano (284-305 d.C.). I quattro martiri erano originari dell’allora provincia romana della Pannonia (Ungheria, Croazia e Slovenia). Il complesso edilizio, nel 1500, divenne sede di un’importante comunità di monache Agostiniane. Domenica 01 febbraio 2026 la comunità claustrale ha accolto il numeroso gruppo di consacrati e consacrate per un momento di preghiera iniziale e una meditazione dettata dalla madre abbadessa, invitandoci ad “imparare Roma”, a conoscerla, ad amarla, a non sentirci semplicemente di passaggio, ma parte operosa di questa realtà con le sue bellezze e drammi umani, testimoniando una “presenza che sa restare accanto”.   Lasciato il complesso, i partecipanti hanno percorso a piedi il tratto di un chilometro attraverso le strade di Roma fino a giungere alla Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano, la cattedrale del vescovo di Roma. Durante il tragitto, accompagnati dall’immagine della Madonna del Divino Amore, devozione particolarmente cara a Roma, i partecipanti hanno recitato la preghiera del Rosario. Una breve introduzione ad ogni mistero e la recita dei 5 Misteri della Gioia sono stati affidati a 5 comunità religiose. Ai Missionari Saveriani il compito di animare il III Mistero della Gioia. In Basilica, la preghiera vespertina e una meditazione del vescovo ausiliare con Delega per la Vita Consacrata. Il vescovo Di Tolve ha ripreso la Lettera del Dicastero “Profezia della presenza: vita consacrata dove la dignità è ferita e la fede è provata”.  Vari confratelli residenti a Roma hanno preso parte a questo momento ecclesiale diocesano

On Sunday, February 1^st, 2026, a large group of members of Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life residing in the Diocese of Rome, gathered in the Basilica of Santi Quattro Coronati, this is a complex built to honour four martyrs who were slain during the persecution ordered by the emperor Diocletian (284-305 A.D.). The four martyrs were originally from the then Roman Province of Pannonia (present-day Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia). In 1500, the building complex became the seat of an important community of Augustinian nuns. On Sunday, February 1^st, 2026, that monastic community welcomed the group of religious for a moment of prayer and a meditation led by the Mother Abbess. She invited the participant to “‘study Rome’, get to know her, love her rather than just feeling like one who is meeting her for a while; be active part of this reality with its beauty and human dramas by being present as one who is able to stay by other’s side.” Upon leaving the monastery, the group walked for about a kilometre through the streets of Rome and reached the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the cathedral of the Bishop of Rome. During the walk, accompanied by the image of Our Lady of Divine Love that is object of particular devotion in Rome, the participants prayed the Rosary. The proclamation of a short introduction to each of the Five Mysteries of Joy and the intonation of the Hail Mary was entrusted to five religious communities. The Xaverian Missionary led the third Mystery of Joy. In the Basilica, there was Evening Prayer and a meditation by the auxiliary bishop in charge of Consecrated Life. Bishop Di Tolve commented the letter of the Dicastery Prophecy of Presence: Consecrated Life where Dignity is Wounded and Faith is Tested. Several of the confreres that live in Rome took part in this moment of ecclesial life.
