Dopo la morte di fratel Vittorio, p. Luigi, p. Giovanni e abbè Albert, tre confratelli, hanno raccolto diligentemente le lettere dei nuovi beati: p. Vittorino Martini, p. Augusto Luca e p. Guglielmo Camera. Durante l’inchiesta diocesana sulla causa di beatificazione (2016-2017), altre lettere sono state gentilmente consegnate offrendo ora un quadro sempre più ricco sullo “stile” e sui “modi” con cui i nostri missionari vivevano. In preparazione alla beatificazione dei quattro martiri, sono stati pubblicati gli epistolari dei tre Saveriani.

La Postulazione Generale ringrazia di cuore i familiari che hanno consegnato le lettere e anche chi le ha presentate e introdotte (p. E. Ferro, don D. Meda, don G. Tamiozzo, p. G. Rinaldi, mons. F. Beschi, don F. Farronato): ogni epistolario prevede un’introduzione generale, curata con la collaborazione dei Centri Missionari delle diocesi di Vicenza, Padova e Bergamo. Le lettere sono disposte in ordine cronologico e ognuna ha una sua introduzione per situarne il contesto e il contenuto. Le lettere, inoltre, accompagnano il lettore ad entrare nella disposizione d’animo, trasmettono la consapevolezza della missione, permettono di conoscere o, perlomeno, di intuire l’azione dei missionari e soprattutto, il “perché” e il “come”. After the death of Brother Vittorio, Fr Luigi, Fr Giovanni and Abbè Albert, three confreres diligently gathered the letters of the new blesseds: Fr Vittorino Martini, Fr Augusto Luca and Fr Guglielmo Camera. During the diocesan enquiry into the cause of beatification (2016-2017), other letters were kindly handed in, now offering an ever-richer picture of the “style” and the “ways” in which our missionaries lived. In preparation for the beatification of the four martyrs, the letters of the three Xaverians were published.

The General Postulation sincerely thanks the family members who gave the letters and also those who presented and introduced them (Fr E. Ferro, Fr D. Meda, Fr G. Tamiozzo, Fr G. Rinaldi, Mgr F. Beschi, Fr F. Farronato): each epistolary includes a general introduction, edited with the collaboration of the Missionary Centers of the dioceses of Vicenza, Padua and Bergamo. The letters are organized in a chronological order and each one has its own introduction to situate its context and content. Moreover, the letters accompany the reader to enter into the frame of mind, to transmit the awareness of the mission, to allow one to know or, at least, to sense the action of these missionaries and, above all, the “why” and the “how”.
