In vista della beatificazione dei Venerabili Servi di Dio Carrara e compagni martiri, il Dicastero delle Cause dei Santi, nel rescritto del 27 febbraio 2024, ha dato al vescovo di Uvira, Mons Muyengo Sébastien-Joseph, il consenso per effettuare la ricognizione canonica e il prelievo di frammenti per la confezione di reliquie dei resti mortali dei martiri.

L'operazione ha avuto luogo venerdì 5 aprile a Baraka e sabato 6 aprile 2024 a Fizi. Il vescovo, Mgr Muyengo, ha nominato con decreto del 03 aprile 2024, le persone seguenti: Barhebwa Honoré (Delegato episcopale), Ndaga Alexandre (Promotore di giustizia), Amisi Abika Guillaume (Notaio attuario), sacerdoti del clero diocesano di Uvira; Pépin Kasongo (medico anatomopatologo), due tecnici muratori e due testimoni.

Il postulatore generale ha sostituito le urne, chiuse con ceralacca e timbro, e riposte nella tomba di Baraka (Carrara e Faccin) e di Fizi (Didonè e Joubert). (Faustino Turco, sx)

Because of the beatification of the Venerable Servants of God Carrara and companion martyrs, the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, in the rescript of February 27, 2024, gave the bishop of Uvira, Mons. Muyengo Sébastien-Joseph, the permission to carry out the canonical recognition and to collect fragments of the mortal remains of the martyrs for the preparation of relics.

The procedure took place on Friday, April 5, 2024 in Baraka and Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Fizi.

By decree dated April 3, 2024, Bishop Mons. Muyengo appointed the following people: Barhebwa Honoré (Episcopal Delegate), Ndaga Alexandre (Promoter of Justice), Amisi Abika Guillaume (Notary Registrar), priests of the diocesan clergy of Uvira; Pépin Kasongo (Anatomopathologist), two masons’ technicians and two witnesses. The postulator general replaced the urns, which were closed with sealing wax and stamped and placed back in the graves of Baraka (Carrara and Faccin) and Fizi (Didonè and Joubert).
