C’è chi invoca la pace e chi la prepara e costruisce davvero, intrecciando giustizia, cibo e fraternità. Così l’VIII edizione di “Altri Mondi”, ospitata nella casa Saveriana di Salerno, ha illuminato i cortili di speranza e concretezza.

Il 6 giugno 2025, la serata “Nutrire il futuro: cibo, pace e disarmo” ha raccolto testimonianze forti: mons. Giovanni Ricchiuti ha ricordato che il disarmo nasce da gesti quotidiani; Giuseppe Sottile di Banca Etica ha mostrato come perfino un conto corrente possa seminare vita; Jairo Agudelo Taborda ha raccontato che senza pane e dignità la pace resta un miraggio.

Due giorni dopo, l’8 giugno 2025, la festa è esplosa in un’onda di popolo: famiglie, giovani, anziani, anche di altre nazioni. I laboratori per bambini e adolescenti – tra colori, danze e giochi – hanno trasformato ogni angolo in un’officina di futuro.

Il forno a legna ha sfornato pizze calde condivise da tutti, mentre le danze popolari e la musica intrecciavano mani e storie diverse. Nessuna barriera, nessuna etichetta: solo il gusto semplice e profondo di una convivialità che sa di Vangelo vissuto.

Grazie a Banca Etica e a decine di realtà solidali, Altri Mondi 2025 non è stato solo un evento, ma la prova che la gioia nasce dall’incontro e che un altro mondo è già in cammino.

There are those who call for peace and those who actually prepare and build it by interweaving justice, food and fraternity. In this spirit, the 8^th edition of Altri Mondi (Different Worlds) filled with hope and pragmatism the courtyards of the Xaverian House in Salerno that served as its venue.

On the evening of June 6^th, 2025, a meeting titled Nutrire il futuro: cibo, pace e disarmo (Nurturing the future: food, peace and disarmament) brought together powerful testimonies: Msgr. Giovanni Ricchiuti reminded that disarmament begins from daily actions; Giuseppe Sottile from Banca Etica demonstrated how even a bank account may sow life; Jairo Agudelo Taborda illustrated how without food and dignity peace remains an illusion.

Two days later, on June 8^th, the festival grew into a wave of people: families, youngsters, and elderly, also from other nations. The workshops for children and teenagers, with their colours, dances and games, transformed every corner of the house in a building site of the future. The wood-fired oven churned out pizzas that were shared by all, while hands and stories clasped at the rhythm of different types of popular dance and music. There were no barriers, no labels: only the simple and profound pleasure of a type of conviviality that tastes of a life according to the Gospel.

Thanks to Banca Etica and to dozens of solidarity groups, Altri Mondi 2025 was more than just an event: it was the demonstration that joy comes from encountering others and that a different world is already coming about.
